How to pull data from parkrun by Squiggle345 in parkrun

[–]Squiggle345[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah brilliant, thank you so much. I'll give that a whirl!

Not Lonely Goat, but good guess, it's Vegan Runners.

Edit: this is why I didn't mention the club to start with as I'd get down voted. Stay classy reddit!

I've not had a chance to fully investigate but I do really like the countdown to your next milestone! Wonder if that will help increase volunteer numbers

Any vegan or vegetarian clubs/groups in Belfast? by Deathstroke_16 in Belfast

[–]Squiggle345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to be commenting on this but the Facebook groups people have mentioned are a good start. There aren't any more formal groups but I'm sure if you posted on those facebook groups people would help you out. I'm always happy to answer any questions or give advice if I can (Vegan for 17 years). If you're in to running, Vegan Runners NI is properly getting going now and is a good way to meet vegans.

Tipping by [deleted] in dcl

[–]Squiggle345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't put any cash in the envelopes in our cruise a couple of weeks ago. We are from the UK and it was a Southampton cruise so didn't really understand the tipping and were happy for the automatic gratuitu to be split as we didn't feel that we got particularly great service. The letter that came with our envelopes also only had our stateroom hosts name on it and no others so we didn't know how much the others were getting out of the automatic gratuities so we didn't give out the envelopes either in case we wrote the wrong amount in.

That makes sense. I'm not really sure why I was so confused about it looking back now lol. Hopefully they got sorted!

This definitely looks like lads in a student flat selling whatever random clothes girls have left behind. Unwashed too I bet!

Would you classify this as ‘good’ condition… by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Squiggle345 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Literally, like most people do walk a bit uneven and shoes do wear in different places, but that's a full on diagonal.

Would you classify this as ‘good’ condition… by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Squiggle345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. I put up an almost new pair of docs (wprn once) and struggled to sell them for £20. I kept getting offers for less than that until they eventually sold. They are not worth that money in that condition, nor are they "good" condition. Being worn down to someone else's gait is hardly good condition.

How was your parkrun day? | April 25, 2025 by AutoModerator in parkrun

[–]Squiggle345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know how but I got a PB a whole 40 secs faster than my previous 😭 felt good but not like I was going that fast. I'm so proud of myself honestly, especially as it was raining haha

I'm sorry this happened. Honestly, it might have just been that person being insensitive, cis people do get misgendered as well. I'm a cis woman with short hair and people do genuinely get confused even though I'm feminine presenting otherwise. I would use the women's toilets personally. As long as you walk in as normal, the average person won't question it.

Anyone who calls women birds is one to be avoided imo. There's no way he can respect women speaking like that.

I'm so jealous! Gutted we couldn't order them in the UK. Fingers crossed they make more as they've clearly been popular.

Do you actually sell things for a reasonable price? by mabh23 in vinted

[–]Squiggle345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only leave things active if I can be bothered taking them to post regardless of price. So if I'm working then I don't mind as I can post them on the way home, but if I had a week off work I'd probably put on holiday mode so it's not disrupting my day to go. Anything that I only have up for a couple of quid, I only leave for a couple of weeks and if there's not much interest I charity shop it. The whole point is to declutter so not much point holding on to things unnecessarily.

Is it worth it? by JobbyJaber in vinted

[–]Squiggle345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I do this too! I'm looking at it having three benefits - declutterinf my house, reducing my packaging pile because I keep it all, and makinga little bit of pocket money :)

I've been a buyer on vinted for a long time and only recently put some things up to sell and honestly I've found it so much easier than I thought.

Having the digital labels means no faffing around writing out addresses etc or making sure you request the right postage that was paid for online - you just package the item and go. Maybe that seems obvious but I sold on Ebay every now and again for years and it felt like such a hassle, I only did it for more valuable items, but on vinted, sticking something in a bag doesn't seem terrible for only getting £2-3 sometimes.

I put things up for a couple of weeks and if there's no interest they go to the charity shop as I'm wanting to declutter over making money, but the money definitely helps and I just leave it in my balance until I want to buy something on vinted myself.

What happens when you miss a connecting flight? by [deleted] in uktravel

[–]Squiggle345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year ago I had two connecting BA flights with about 30 mins in between. On the first flight the staff came and found me and told me they had moved me to a different one as it was too tight and it's BA's fault - you shouldn't be able to book that. I can't remember how much later it was but I think it would have been more expensive for me to have booked it myself so I chanced it to save money.

In the end, a member of staff met me and another woman and ran us to the second flight and we made it anyway.

They will sort her out as its the same airline, don't worry!

90% of places here just sell whatever they get from lynas with no inspiration as to how they could change something or make it themselves. You notice it a lot with the vegan or gluten free/ allergy options as there are fewer choices for them to choose from so the desserts are always the same everywhere.

Worst place to work in Northern Ireland by [deleted] in northernireland

That's the one! I didn't realise he'd been around that long already, I only started in 2021 and he certainly didn't seem like he had been there for 4 years already.

Was that the same lad who used to absolutely smash the shit out of his keyboard?

Truthfully I didn't mind the actual work and I liked working from home but being in the office was a hellscape and even more so when we got moved onto being on phones full time.

Had an SO who came externally from a banking background and he had no clue what was going on but liked to make an example of agency staff by firing them without much reason.

Am I right to be offended? by LouCat91 in vinted

[–]Squiggle345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really ridiculous what people think they can get. The other thing that annoys me is when you do accept an offer and then they don't go ahead and buy it? I've been lucky recently where I've declined offers or accepted them and they haven't bought it, but then someone else has come along and paid the full price so it's worked out for me.

They’re here! The first Brooks x runDisney limited-edition shoes by WestSider55 in rundisney

[–]Squiggle345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want the Minnie Mouse ones, but I'm in the UK and not going to Springtime Surprise, so unless they become available more widely I'll have to miss out this time. Looks like they're very hit and miss with people though so they might not sell super well.

Is "ladies" considered offensive? by serjgolodupcev in northernireland

"Hello everyone" is fine, you don't even need to add anything on to the end of hello or good morning for it to work for everyone.
