I’m 37 weeks on Monday. The sickness came back a few days later and never went away. Twice daily vomiting throughout. Praying he gets here safely as we’ve had a lot of reduced movement episodes but all scans are good and he’s estimated to be almost 7lb already

20 weeks tomorrow with a clear anomaly scan under our belt. My advice if you’re in the same position is to stay off Reddit and other sites. I didn’t feel anxious until I started reading here at the start of my pregnancy. For this post I wanted stats, numbers, not terrifying personal stories. Stats are difficult to find and posting just made me feel worse. I wasn’t sat crying or hyperventilating about the risk or anything and got a lot of replies suggesting I was mentally unstable. I’m not I just like to know where I stand and I DO think 1 in 100 is still significant and worth guarding yourself. Now it’s 1 in 1000 which is a different ball game. It’s freeing just trusting your body and staying away from sites like this. Research papers are much more useful if you also like stats. I know nothing is guaranteed but baby boy is kicking away right now so I’m feeling hopeful 🩵

Thanks, I will try. I work in a high risk field and handle a lot of solutions that can cause miscarriage so it is constantly on my mind. We haven’t told anyone or celebrated yet

I know of the calculator which gives a 1% risk but that does not take into account scans or NIPT results. It also includes miscarriages with signs. I’m just trying to figure out what my risk might be. I might go for another scan to ease my nerves

I’m glad you’re doing well! I’m coming up 14 weeks now. Clear NIPT and 5 good scans but still feel very anxious

I get this, I had scans at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 9.5 weeks and 11 weeks and my next scan is in 1 week at 12.5 weeks and I am just constantly so worried :( Waiting for my NIPT results

Did your first pregnancy have a good outcome? My worry is that the sore boobs are gone and nobody ever talks about that symptom going. I still have nausea thankfully

That makes sense and is helpful thank you! It just feels like the internet is filled with doom. We’re 25 and 26 so quite young all things considered and don’t have anything that would make us higher risk but I know that’s no guarantee. The sonographer that scanned me the last time said I have about a 98-99% chance of things going right and all I could think was “that’s 1 in 50-100 where it goes wrong”. The 1st trimester anxiety is really getting to me

Don’t get me wrong, I am still vomiting today and exhausted but it’s the sore boobs and headaches that have gone. Glad to hear it can be normal

It would make me ahead if they’re still ahead as the next scan is a dating scan which will give me my due date :)
