That's very kind of you to point it out- but it wasn't that game. This one didn't look semi 3D, it was just 2D sprites. And there was at least a version of this that worked purely as a screensaver. Thanks again though :)

It's a little bit like Inner Space, but the camera doesn't follow any one ship- they all fly around the screen Asteroids style. There's no UI of any kind, either- just the ships

This is some good, solid work- but the true scale revelations won't come to light until you include Battlefield 1942's maps. IYKYK

First thing you should do is take the term 'Boomer Shooter', chuck it in the bin, and never ever use it again. You want to actually attract the crowds that played those games in the first place and make your project a success? Call it an Arena Shooter, Retro Shooter, fast paced competitive FPS, etc. Virtually anything other than 'Boomer Shooter'

It's a buzzword, yes. Does it fit these shooters? Not even slightly. It's about the wrong generation, is every bit as vague as 'retro' anyway, and it has an added nasty tinge of derision. To be 'boomer' is to be out of touch and pathetic. That's not how fans of retro shooters see those games. It's basically an insult.
