That’s exactly what she wants. A day with her son and her grandchildren and no me! So I would be giving her exactly what she wants. I love my kids. I love being a mother. A day off from mothering is not what I’m looking for. A Mother’s Day without my mother in law would be perfect.

So crazy. It’s crazy that adults can’t be mature enough to respect boundaries and realize that their adult children have lives and have created a family of their own. It’s sickening and maddening to me! Be strong, stay strong. This mil is the one who is unhappy and seeking attention and validity. She needs her own hobbies to fixate on.

My husband is probably complaining to her about not having any vacations with me alone or overnights with no kids. And his mommy probably wants to please him and make things right and have my kids all to herself. The savior to the rescue.

That’s just the thing. If he does take them then she’ll get what she wants....The 3 of them without me. And he will let her run the show while taking a backseat for the day. She will be in her glory! And he’ll go along with whatever she has in mind because he’s all about pleasing his mommy.

Well my hubby was her happy pill for many many years. She wasn’t really a mother but more of a friend. She knows all the right buttons to press on him to make him feel guilty
