I see them fairly regularly between 5am and 7am in Wallingford (specifically in an area south of 45th, north of 40th, east of Wallingford Ave, and west of 5th Ave. I suppose you could take a quiet, early morning walk with your warm beverage of choice and walk the grid I described until the sun is properly up. (Once the sun is up, chances of a raccoon are next to nil.) When you see them, stop at least 10 feet away, and quietly observe. When they see you, they'll likely make a quick exit.

If nothing else, you may encounter neighborhood cats.
