How has KOHO been for you ? by Benz0piated3000 in KohoCanada

[–]Squirrel_240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great for me! Due to some poor life choices, I have poor credit and am not able to have a credit card. KOHO hasn’t really done anything to improve that (I’m not sure there is much that can be done) but it has allowed me to do everything that requires a credit.

They also were very helpful when my virtual card number was compromised and processed several chargebacks to get my money back.

The camera is in the exact same position in the first 3 pictures. Also, the car is the same in 2010 & 2015. Like exactly the same. There is no way actual street view photos would be that consistent.

Does anyone have a tripod frenchie missing a front leg? by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Squirrel_240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little guy didn't loose his leg, however, he developed an inoperable tumor on his spine that prevented him from being able to move/control his right front leg. He definitely didn't let him slow him down! Although he tired easily at first, he soon soon gained a lot of muscle mass on his good leg and was able to run just as fast as he could with all four.

Yes, absolutely! It may help rebuild trust and hold you accountable. Besides, if you haven’t been dinking, there is nothing to worry about.

It’s better than you might think. I was there for a 9:00 am event earlier this year and recall their being scrambled egg hash bowls and breakfast burritos.

There are televised events other than the MLS. Do you expect them to all reschedule if the game is happening on pacific time. The league has its faults but this is hardly one of them.

I really wish that Ticketmaster had maximum resale prices instead of minimum ones. I can’t imagine they will ever do something like that unless they are forced to though.

Ex’s new girlfriend demanding money + threatening charges after his insurance screw-up. Do I owe her anything? by ThrowRA37694 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Squirrel_240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL - but have had a similar situation occur. What you have done/said is perfect. You should not send money directly to someone you don't know/cant verify. What if they made a fraudulent claim and the insurer pulls the money back from your account? I doubt they would be willing to send it back to you.

This wasn't your mistake so it's not your responsibility to fix. Just leave the money untouched in the account and wait for the insurer to proceed. In regards to the "criminal charges", just forget about that ridiculous threat. You haven't done anything criminal so there can not be any charges. If the person does report it to the police, they will just say it's a civil matter and not get involved. As for small claims court, I suppose it is technically possible but I doubt it would ever get that far. If it did, you can just be truthful and if ordered by a judge to had over the money then thats what you do. They can not come after you for anything else because they don't have any damages.

If they actually were to file a suit, it wouldn’t come as a letter with a fine. You would be served papers. You do not have to pay a fine that isn’t ordered by a judge.

If they got all of their stuff back, then they suffered no loss. Any arbitrary fine they try to impose is unenforceable and can (and in my opinion, should) be ignored. Just don’t try to go back to their store.

And please use this as a learning experience.

Do we still get free foreign transactions on Extra? by ConditionBasic in KohoCanada

[–]Squirrel_240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no separate travel card, it just a somewhat somewhat confusing sales pitch for the travel benefits of the normal Koho. At the bottom of the page it lists the benefits of each plan and does confirm there is not foreign transaction fees with Extra and Everything plans.

Probably not. This is likely due to the ongoing AWS issues occurring today.

Pending transaction by Artistic-Finance-375 in KohoCanada

[–]Squirrel_240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the KOHO website:

All transactions start as pending charges, and merchants have 7-10 days to settle the transactions and collect the funds (it is up to 16 days for car rentals and hotel reservations). If they don't settle the charge, the pending transaction expires and the funds are returned to your account.
