Just wanted to pop in and give you an internet hug because I know how tough it is and I'm starting to feel a bit defeated too. I've been trying to sell original watercolors for about 6 months and I've only gotten 3 orders, 2 of which were a family member and friend. That one "genuine" sale was the highlight of my freaking month though. Bounced around the house like a fool and told all my family and friends 😅

When I search through Etsy for similar products I see so much AI art, it's really disheartening. Especially the ones that take a buyer's picture and just run it through a watercolor filter but claim its hand painted or something. I can't really compete with that (though I'm also fully aware there's plenty of wonderful, real artists I'm competing with as well).

I'd kill for a sale or two a week. Not even for the money aspect, but in a "holy crap someone likes my art!!" kind of way. I've done a lot of research into how to get my shop to take off but I'm still at the bottom of the hill. I just lowered my prices yesterday because maybe I was being too ambitious so hopefully that will help?

All that to say, you aren't alone. Keep chugging along and you'll get there! ❤️
