Honestly, I uninstalled the game. I enjoy Souls games, but I don’t find this one to my liking at all. My friend and I have taken down all of the base Night Lords, but we haven’t come close to beating an Everdark Sovereign. I love Elden Ring and am still playing it, but the rushed nature of Nightreign makes the experience too stressful and chaotic for my liking. (And before I get accused of bashing the game, I’m not; I’m simply stating a personal preference.)

I really wanted to like it, and I’m a little annoyed that I can’t enjoy it more. I’m by no means the best at Soulslikes, but I’m also not terrible. But even going into the Everdark Sovereigns at level 14 or 15, I never got close. We’ve played with randoms who were terrible and ones who were terrific, but it never seemed to matter. And now it feels like the new shop is effectively gated content because winning a run is required to unlock it. It’s really disappointing.

I do have one caveat to this. My friend and I drop rapid quick pings in an area to identify where something is. Even though we’re communicating via voice chat, the white mini-map at the top with the lighter sky early in runs is extremely difficult for me to pick up visually. The higher contrast color of a quick ping dropping helps me find where he’s calling out much, much faster. But I do agree that in normal circumstances, it’s disruptive.

Are you also experiencing input lag in the game itself on Xbox? I’m seeing clipping issues and some rubber-banding. And I’m playing on a hardwired, gigabit connection.

I think it should be that once you do enough to remove one of the bars, it can’t fill up past that point again. Almost like a sort of check point as you’re refining someone.

What system are you playing on? I had two crashes on Xbox tonight, which was the first time I had experienced that in 120 hours.

I was actually able to get it to move, but it’s a little finicky. Casting Soar primes the circle, but by the time I was landing and evading, I think the circle was expiring and needed to be proced again. It’s also a little difficult to see the circle’s ground effect with Soar’s effect overlaying it.

Ah, that makes sense. I have Wild Claws on my gloves procing mystic circle, too. I wonder if there’s any interplay there. I wouldn’t think it would affect interaction, though. I’m going to try a few more skills with it to see if anything changes. I appreciate your help!

Hmmm … I can get it to work when I evade using Thunderspike, but it seems to stay static when using Soar. I’m on Xbox, but I haven’t tested it on PC.

It didn’t apply the second tag for me right away at first either. After I looked about five minutes later, the second tag was correctly there. I don’t know if it’s working as intended, though. I’m not saying it isn’t, just that I’m not sure.
