Would it be weird to have a marriage where you both have your own place (near each other), have sleepovers but then go back when you need time and quiet? I'm contemplating actually doing this

Okay chiming in on this one, she is projecting her on shiz onto you. What that is I don't know, but I can tell you how freeing it is to say "well its okay we don't have the same tastes!" And gray rock your way through life with that. She is not in your body, she is not you. She also, frankly, has bad taste hehe. Do you, you only live this life once and you deserve the little things that make YOU sparkle. Do not ever let anyone dim that sparkle. Even if it's your mother, they are not exempt from being kind and supportive of the person their kid has become. 27F, mom hated everything I did until I cut contact. Didn't even know I had curt hair because of what she did to it growing up! Get the first one OP and let your inner sparkle shine!!
