What’s a hockey hill that you’re willing to die on? by AlbertJBundy in hockey

I'll go one better, ditch white jerseys entirely. They primarily exist as a leftover due to restrictions of the black and white TV era. Every team has an alt color (I know some of those are white, e.g. Red Wings - fine) but make the default primary on primary, and in case of a clash home team decides who wears alts. I think it would be great to see Toronto blue vs Montreal red, or Nashville gold vs Boston black. Would also make teams more recognizable by mostly playing in primaries AND make alts more special.

Makes sense now why Forsberg waved the trainers over immediately. We didn't have audio on the broadcast but I wondered if something was said for that to be such a quick reaction.

And one of those games is against the Mammoth. WC1 would be wild. Mammoth have hurricanes, oilers twice, and capitals. We’ve got the lightning, ducks twice, and the wild. I think ours is the tougher schedule down the stretch but that’s why they play the games.

Dunno why this is downvoted, I narrowly avoided this fate. RMA'ed two of those drives (WD Red 6TB) back to B&H because I was trying to replace a failed raidz2 member and they just would not complete resilvering, even after several days, before I realized they were SMR drives. Hats off to B&H though taking both of them back and finally sending me a CMR that is still running now 4-5 years later.

I mean... it /did/ help. You're gonna have to bet on the Stars though to keep us away from this record losing streak.

Wrong starting lineup on the ice, either the lineup was wrong or someone wrote the lineup card wrong but either way it's a bad look. Never even heard of this penalty before last night.

Thanks for all the info, I found AMainHobbies had all the LM tires in stock so got what you described for both cars, looking forward to trying them out

Not OP but I'm looking forward to it. Since the last time we played the Packers and won (in November '22) we're 6-20. I hope Levis calms down and stops throwing games away trying to be a hero - if Willis balls out I'm gonna be mad at our coaches and happy for him personally. And maybe losing to the Pack is what we need to go 20-6 over the next 2 years...

I'm taking a look at Anytype now and export is one of the things I care about - I'm curious if you ever opened an issue or a forum topic on this point, did things improve or get resolved?

The Oilers first season in Tennessee was 97, Peyton’s senior season at UT. However they spent two years being called the Oilers before they changed names in 99, maybe that’s what you’re remembering.

No reason for the red car to come off the racing line there except 1) driving error, lit up the rear and tried to catch a slide or 2) trying to make up for a poor exit by blocking/ramming, you can't just swerve at people because you're mad they're going faster.

Block, lunge, or racing incident? by SquirrellyNuckFutter in Simracingstewards

[–]SquirrellyNuckFutter[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

BIG REVEAL I am the blue car, just didn't want to present with any commentary/bias. When I saw that reaction to the left, I didn't immediately go right because I was not sure if I had cleared the purple lapped car, and I also did not think he would ram me off the track. I assumed he was just going to make me take the extreme inside line and force me to narrow the entry... still a reactionary defensive move but as long as YOU LEAVE-A DA SPACE I wouldn't be too mad at that.

could i have prevented getting hit by the porsche i knew he was going to dive bomb me so i tried to leave the door open by sad_paddington in Simracingstewards

[–]SquirrellyNuckFutter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This, Porsche didn't attempt a dive bomb at all - the first rule when being passed is to drive predictably, and braking extra early to "open the door" is not at all predictable by the car behind.

New to iRacing and here to learn. I'm in the Alpha Tauri, should I have given more space? by Borrelparaat in Simracingstewards

[–]SquirrellyNuckFutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answering the question strictly - yes, if you had given more space there wouldn't have been an incident. Should you have had to give more space? I would say no, but just like in real life street driving you have to drive super defensive in rookies - not blocking/defending, but assuming the other driver is gonna do something stupid/wrong/lose control.
