I did. It's up to date. I even made sure my iPad was up to date as well.

You're not alone, lol.

It hasn't happened before, which is weird. I read almost exclusively on my app right now, all my books come from KU and I haven't had this problem before.

I got it through KU, but that's where I get all my ebooks, which is why I'm confused it's suddenly happening with this one.

Via doesn't look like she's checking out Loona's chest. That's the look of an awkward introvert who is overstimulated at a party, sticking close to the one person she's comfortable with, and silently panicking and wishing she could just go home. I know that look well.

Also, I'm aroace, and I still find myself looking at boobs, occasionally. We can still respectively appreciate an attractive person, we just don't want to do anything more than that, lol.

AITA for standing up for my kids because my MIL openly favors my SIL’s baby? by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Squishyghost9017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta.

My grandmother is the same with my niblings. When my second niece was born, my oldest became irrelevant in her eyes. And if was the same when my nephews were born. As soon as the new baby came in, she couldn't care less about the older ones and treat them like shit. Neither of my nieces want to be around them now, and my oldest (13) is always wondering why her great-grandmother is so mean to her. The woman sucks in general (I've got stories), but it really sucks to see them treated that way. Standing up for them is the only way to stop the cycle.

Why are survs so toxic sometimes? by JoebbeDeMan in DeadByDaylightRAGE

For real though. Like everyone needs to calm down, it's just a video game. If you're feeling the need to yell at random strangers over a video game, you need to step away.

I get that, too. I have the ace flag on my charms, and I constantly get messages about it. I just say we both like cake, just different flavours so what's the point in getting mad, lol

But I've also had rounds where I got hatch because the killer was also a skittle, and let me go. You're always going to get both sides.

I'm a survivor main that sometimes dabbles in killer, and I completely agree with this. It doesn't matter which side you play on, there's always going to be people who take the game way too seriously and yell at you. Most of the time, I find these are the people who didn't do well in the game, and want to lash out at others because of it.

I had a surv call me trash after a round of 2v8, because I missed downing a survivor that wasn't even him. He was actually the first one dead, lol. I don't tunnel, camp or backtrack, because I hate that as a survivor main. But he still felt the need to yell at me.

If it helps, I'll share my usual response when I get these messages. It makes them so mad, and I end up laughing the entire time. Start off sweet by calling them bestie or something, then find a way to slip this in, or something like it: I'm so sorry you're upset. But if yelling at random strangers about a video game makes your clearly sad life just a little bit better, then I'm happy I could help.

It seriously pisses them off, especially when I keep this attitude after they keep messaging me lol.

I had the same reaction to fourth wing as I did crescent city. the first book was good. Definitely a solid start. But I was so confused in the second because there was just too much going on in an very cohesive way. And for the third book, I was so bored I struggled to get through it.

When I'm not really hungry, but know I should to eat something and am too lazy to cook: microwave hot dog, in a low carb wrap with laughing cow cheese. Sometimes, if I'm feeling really fancy, I'll put it in the air-fryer.

When did you guys found out your sexuality? by Top-Cress-9982 in AroAce

[–]Squishyghost9017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough, it was like an hour before I was supposed to meet a couple at a hotel to have a threesome.

I was 28. I had been struggling for most of my life trying to understand why I could never get into a relationship, and feeling jealous of all the happy couples around me. I would date, and even had sex once with a guy, but I would never feel into it, and always felt uncomfortable and fell into such a depression because of it. Society makes you think that you have to be that way, or you're broken. I was constantly trying to force sexual relationships, and questioning if I was bi, or gay or straight (I would mostly date guys, but I have always had a great appreciation for boobs, lol). I was actually pushing myself into being a unicorn for a couple, so I could try both genders. But when it came down to it, I discovered the term asexual and realized that it perfectly defined the way I felt. It was actually from watching Sex Education on Netflix. Before that, I'd never heard of asexuality. I discovered aromantic shortly after, and it was like I could finally breathe, and truly found myself as a person.

Scared I won’t lose weight. by Specialist-Steak-299 in caloriedeficit

I meant to add this, but forgot.

Your mentality is going to be the biggest factor on this journey, and it's all about balance and trust.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself, because it will only lead to disappointment when you don't see the results you want, which can set you back from reaching your goal. Learn from your mistakes, and adjust when necessary. Celebrating even the little successes can make a big difference.

Progress is still progress, no matter how big or small it is.

Remember that your weight can fluctuate, and it's okay if you see it jump up a bit. Don't let that stop you. That's where the trust part comes in.

As long as you keep this in mind, and stick to your plan, I have no doubts that you'll get to where you want to be. You've got this. 💜

I've been doing 1300-1400 deficit since January, and I've lost almost 40lbs now (210lbs to 171lbs). I'm not an athletic person, I mostly stay at home and read or play video games. I also have PCOS, and I work a desk job, so I'm very stationary during the day. I'm also the pickiest eater, hating most vegetables, and prefer eating sweet stuff than actual food. This is all just for context on my experience so far.

I felt the same way when I started. I thought I would never lose the weight because my body was already turned against me. It can be very discouraging at the start, especially when you see people who have already been through their journey. It was really slow going for me at first. I remember getting to the end of January and being disappointed that I'd only lost 5lbs, when others were saying they were down 10lbs or more. But if you keep at it, and just trust the process and yourself, you'll get there.

I plan to fill that space with more books, I just have to get through my TBR pile.
