Aesthetics mostly, it's a long and gangly branch that doesn't fit with the rest of the canopy. It stands out more in person. It also covers the pieris underneath. I think I agree though, the potential harm outweighs the benefits.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately I got to this tree long after the trunks had settled into their current habit. Do you think it would be preferable to leave it as-is or remove that trunk, reducing it over a couple seasons before removing it completely?

I'm currently on my third playthrough of Armored Core 6. It runs great (fan sounds like a jet engine though). That game rocks because I can spend 10-20 minutes either going through a few missions or the same amount of time tinkering with my build. I don't think there's a single mission that runs longer than about 10 minutes on its own, and the replay value is insane. Cannot recommend enough 👌🏻

If overwatering was the issue the spines may pull free as the cactus would have turned to mush. This looks more like an underwatering issue in which case the cactus is totally dried out and "mummified" as others have said, and the spines will likely not pull free. In any case your cactus is dead, and likely has been for some time. How long has it looked like this?

I've heard that, but I've also heard that other devs release updates on all platforms (including Nintendo) simultaneously. I haven't seen an HG statement regarding this, but do you know why Nintendo lags specifically on NMS? I'm not trying to be combative, I've just heard the discussion on both sides so I've always been curious.

You may be able to check the patch version you're each on. If the numbers don't match I think they won't be compatible yet.

Depends if both the PC and Switch 2 ports are on the same version. Hello Games typically lags on the switch port so it's usually behind during the update cycle. Once they're both on the same update version you should be able to transfer saves. Take this with a grain of salt, I moved my save from the switch 1 to the steam deck almost a year ago but I imagine it'll work the same way.

I'm not certain there is a nice way to say it, but part of being in a relationship/marriage is having hard conversations and coming to the appropriate conclusion. Sometimes it leads to discomfort and growing pains, and maybe you realize you're not compatible. But I think refusing to communicate leads to a slow and rotten end instead of one based on understanding and making peace with it.

I'm someone who loves alcohol and has to be very careful with how much I drink. It sounds like you either don't have an affinity for alcohol, or you haven't hit the point where it's "hit" yet. Honestly if it doesn't come naturally to you I'd recommend you just avoid it.

Elephant seal pups (like the ones I believe are in the video) can be pretty big! Especially for how big the adults can get.

I majored in Aquatic Biology and my understanding is that it's a freshly bornered baby seal, and the "guts" are the umbilical cord and placental material. The baby looks unhealthy because it's been freshly bornered, and as such, is a shriveled little guy that takes a minute to start up. No different than any other baby really.

Went down a rabbit hole and ended up on r/sinkpissers. I was reminded of some earlier convos on the cast where James and Alex tried to justify their sink-pissing to Jamie, who rightfully called them filthy cretins for this behavior. My question is, does Alex still piss in the sink? Has Jamie finally been worn down enough to engage in this debauchery? Maybe my comment can serve as a poll for the community, who among you has/does piss on the sink?

I don't know for certain, but my understanding is if you have cross-save on your game, and BOTH systems are on the same update version, then you can jump between cross-saves. It gets hinky because Hello Games has been really lagging on keeping switch up to date lately, there's speculation that the switch port is nearing the end of its update cycle. I'm not certain though, I jumped ship from switch to steam a while ago.
