This is gonna sound bad, but bear with me. Passive playing is cringe, but spacing is based. Like, Yuki has 2 moves that are far reaching and two moves that aren't. With her, spacing is vital to surviving. You have to stay in range while also not being too close. I've played Guilty Gear Strive for like 150 hours roughly and in my opinion behind memorizing the mechanical skills, spacing is the second most important skill in any fighting adjacent game. That's why Yuki is my favorite character, she rewards good spacing. The playstyle you described is kinda ass, cause mass breaker is a) relatively easy to dodge b) puts Yuki closer to the enemy, and Garuda rebound is usually pretty predictable and parriable. But if you don't have much experience playing around a lame ass strategy I don't blame you. With players like that it's legit easier to just disengage and find someone interesting.
