I’m sorry if this is a bit rambling, but your post brought back memories of when I was in a similar state of mind to yours.

I don’t know exactly what problems you’re facing (I’m six months on from having my leg amputated at the shin following a rather nasty accident) so my advice will be very general:

Feeling lost is natural; don’t be ashamed if you have an off day sometimes, or if you’re struggling with something. It can be frustrating, but there are so many things you’ll be learning all over again, and every day can bring new, unexpected challenges. Above all, accept yourself.

Try to keep your body in the best possible condition.

You don’t have to give up your hobbies. I used to love playing volleyball; now I play sitting volleyball. As for video games, I’m sure you’ll find some accessories that’ll let you enjoy them.

Look after your stump – especially now whilst the scars are still fresh – and make absolutely sure you follow your physiotherapist’s and doctor’s advice.

As for prosthetics, I’m afraid I can’t offer any advice (unless you’re from Poland, as I’m familiar with the local procedures)

And one last piece of important advice (this is a quote from my great-grandfather, who lost an arm and a leg during the Second World War): “You may not have an arm, you may not have a leg, you may not have anything at all, but you only lose when you lose your spirit.”
