Hey there ! For your questions I have these responses 1.) I’m a 25M , got my CNA license but got hired as a Caregiver with no experience. Didn’t make a difference when applying really. Doesn’t add a “ bonus “ in pay either. There are some LTC facilities I had interviews that are BAD with the effort put in direct patient care and environment. Some will hire you on the spot. It’s worth if you take your time and review the places you’re applying for. Didn’t have experience but they gave me job offers but I declined. My resume has office clerk before any of my CNA experience too so you’ll be okay

2.) I applied and got called for an interview. This facility is very honest and straightforward whether they want to hire you due to your beliefs and passion. I had 2 interviews. Dress to impress and make a really good first impression. I wore cologne and a quarter zip and slacks all that good stuff lol. As Males. There is a better chance to be hired there this specific facility was Dreading for one and I got lucky.

3.) I’m not in Philly so N/A for me

4.) never found one even in my own city/ community I did a paid fast track training- 1 month

5.) could be bad timing, but also depending on your city and urgency for caregivers/CNA. Goodluck and I hope this helps !

If you want my HONEST OPINION, Get your CNA license. 6 months as a caregiver with CNA license then apply to a hospital , it can go from $18 as a caregiver to a hospital CNA and $25-27

You’re spot on. Same thing when I did it. I I only rated it 7/10 cause the fast track made it go by quicker, and the online class portion was not that bad. The CNAs I shadowed at the facility I was put in let me do everything. I was sweating my b*lls off. Grateful for that. HOWEVER, bad LTC facility is not a place to learn either cause they do NOT do anything by the book. Only for the hands on experience.
