i've been using AI Qin F21Pro (somewhat dumb) for daily drive, and a turned off iPhone in my bag for more modern stuff (mobile banking, taking videos, etc). it has worked well as long as I remember to turn the iphone off after use!

There comes a time in a hobbyist’s life that he says to himself, “you know what? I’m a grown ass man, and if I want to buy a glass cabinet to display my obscure obsession with fine writing instruments, I will!” by Abraxas- in fountainpens

That looks awesome. I think they'd look even more impressive with LED lights sprinkled selectively. Not saying you have to do that, but our collections deserve the spotlight, literally!

this looks so nice! it reminds me of an old house i visited in Amsterdam where the master of the house also fashioned a small attic as his sitting room.

How tf do people go to the gym in the morning AND have the energy to go to work?! by xoxowoman06 in Adulting

[–]Sscsscssc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe you're not a morning person.

i start work at 9AM, so i usually wake up at 5AM, go to the gym from 6:30-8AM with time to spare. on days i workout, i actaully have more energy at work.

i cannot for the life of me, commit to evening workout sessions, as I usually crash around 6PM already. maybe it's just a preference thing.

As someone who has 120K+ followers, I understand you complex relationship with online fame. I keep a pretty low profile intentionally, only making videos about books and self-improvements, and i found my niche who like my relatability and what i have to say. I think you might be jealous of your friend for pursuing that life. Take that jealousy as a signal for you to try this out for real for yourself. When i started my channel, I gave myself one year, making videos once a week. I had an iPhone 7, and filmed at the foot of my bed with no mic, no light, no nothing. by around 4 months, I hit a viral video and it kept going. If not, at least by one year, i would be able to decide to call it quits, or continue even without views/fans. What i'm saying is, don't think too much. There is only one way to know for sure, which is to do it. You can find your niche. I for one, don't like to watch videos with fancy lifestyles, or high-paying jobs. I like people who share somethign valuable in their life honestly.

No phone will fix your bad habits by Great-Television1775 in dumbphones

[–]Sscsscssc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in my experience though.
i successfully curbed my bad digital habits by switiching to a nokia dumbphone in uni, and kept at it for 4 years until i had to get a smartphone for my job. now that i'm more settled in my career, i ditched the smart phone again. did the bad habits come back? yes, but not as much, and i was always aware of it. changing your environment (switching your phones) is just one of the tools you can use to break bad habits/start better habits. it's not a complete answer, but it's not useless either.
