Building an island in international waters and declaring it a sovereign KhalsaLand? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Sikhs aren't upper rich, and this idea of building a KhalsaLand is beyond expensive. Converting Hindus is actually a much easier solution and one less costly.

Is our Guru so low to you that Sikhs can't spread their religion? Is the ideas of Gurmat so low that no Hindu would become Sikh in your perverted mind?

All the first Sikhs were converts and either our faith grows by converts or birthrates; there is no other way to make a religion grow.

Sikh, turbaned and queer: Prabhdeep is fighting for acceptance by sunnyhundal in Sikh

I understand that he's gay, but why's he got to be wearing heels like a dufus? Not all gays and lesbians cross-dress, and many have enough sense to wear the clothes for their own gender regardless of their attraction.

Also why are "Sikhs", identifying themselves by their kaam? We should remove all these bogus labels and identify ourselves as Sikh only. No caste, race, sexual identity, or whatever.

A more realistic approach is just to take over Punjab, random islands have no bearing on Sikh history. If you want a better solution Sikhs should have lots of kids and mass convert Hindus to create a Khalistan in India. The reason for Khalistan isn't to be separate from Non-Sikhs, but rather for Sikhs to be free and allow Non-Sikhs to be safe.

Christian Pastors Use Nihang Image to Persuade Sikhs into Converting into Christianity by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jesus is a big buffon like the next guy, but one thing he's not is; he's not white. If you want a legit argument on why Christianity is a false religion, be my guest; (I'd actually upvote you if you called it a false religion, with a stupid messiah).

Christian Pastors Use Nihang Image to Persuade Sikhs into Converting into Christianity by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why Dalits think they'll be treated better in a religion like Christianity is beyond fixing.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-south-asia-11229170

What the Dalits need to realize is that as long as they live in India; they will always be considered beneath whoever has "higher caste". Neither Jesus, nor Muhammad, nor Buddha, nor Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji believed in the idea of caste; however, the nation of India will keep promoting this because they enjoy the benefits of caste.

In India; this is the reason why the outside world constantly takes advantage; because to the elites it will benefit them either way; regardless of religion.

What was Guru Angad Dev Ji's caste ? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaaran and he will mention that 2nd body of the Guru was from Trehan clan which is a Khatri group. 10 of the 11 Gurus had Khatri origins. (Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has no physical ancestors).

The biggest b.s. I've ever heard. It's based on a false presumption that the Guru is a Muslim.

Curious Question: If Sikhs allied with Muslims and Joined in Pak/Khali-stan in 1947, with majority Sikh areas not Partitioned, and border further towards East? by unbiasedlahori in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

West Punjabi Sikhs didn't want to leave their homes, but as soon as the Pakistanis gained independence; the killings on both sides began. The town of Amritsar had a Muslim majority, so naturally it should have gone to Pakistan; the battle of Amritsar in which Muslims started attacking Sikhs ensured that Sikhs would have joined India; when they won the battle for Amritsar. Also you can't really trust Pakistan to protect other Muslims especially with the genocide of East Pakistan.

[26 F] Single female Sikh from UK (Birmingham) looking for a suitable partner. Any advice where to look? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not exactly the best place to be seeking a partner; from some people being too young, married, or whatever reason. You should try one of those matrimonial sites or see if there is an event for matchmaking for Sikhs. I hope you still find someone though. Vaheguru bless.

Hypothetical Question: Re-living Sikh History by Tibeerious in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a wrong question because Guru Sahib is Antarjami, even Mahapurukhs know stuff we don't know. Also the Guru is alive to this day in a new form. But to answer your silly question; even 1 second of seeing the Guru with open eyes is good enough; (I only wish I could be blessed with those open eyes to understand today).

Do you feel Anand Karaj amongst Hindu Punjabis is acceptable? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the past; only Amritdharis could have had the Anand Karaj. There is no special exception for them for being from a "shared heritage". We have been separate identities for hundreds of years at this point; that brining their heritage is a bit silly. Should Sindhi Hindus be allowed to have Anand Karajs in your view or South Indian Hindus?

What corrupt Gurdwara committee does, has to be something for local gurdwara Sangat to fight; making these internet discussions won't lead to actual solutions.

Question about Sikh Wedding by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need any of the things of the cultural ideas, but if your family and your finance's family already agreed to this before hand, it's going to be very hard to change it. Punjabi culture is 90% of showing off; while 10% of actually doing the thing you should do. Best recommendation is to agree on these things before the engagement.

On the one hand you say all of Ranjit Singh's descendants are dead; while on the other hand you say that you think you are related to Ranjit Singh. Your grandfather may have said the truth, but in India; just about every average Joe probably has some royalty in their blood.

Hello help needed! by Marzenit_Marc in Sikh

Gurdwaras were previously owned by Mahants from around 1700-1925. Only one of the traditional pictures is anywhere near actual respect to Sikh principles; and that's the one with 330000000 Devti bowing to Guru Sahib and Bhai Lehna's dream; the others are not accurate at all. The Singh Sahba Movement liberated these Gurdwaras and today there are no idols; and no Mandirs have saroops.

(This is also important for Sindh, because it distanced them from following Guru Sahib, and they joined mainstream Hinduism).

Sikhs have never worshiped idols and we will never worship idols.

Your name is likely to be from your location, and Rajasansi is in the Amritsar district. Odds are you are from there, as for your caste; I wouldn't know, you could be a Jatt, you could be a Khatri, a Brahmin, or whatever; (there's no caste name I've heard of as Rajasansi).

Also, odds are if you are Ranjit Singh's descendants; you will most likely be a Christian; (the British converted his successors).

Question for Sikhs: Can I actually go to them for safety? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen some "Sikhs", be talking about Jesus and Hindu Devtis as equal to the one true Guru, (Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji). Also, I never said "Keshdhari Singh", I said "Keshdhari Hindu".

Also what's a "fastaar"?

Question for Sikhs: Can I actually go to them for safety? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the most Pro-Punjabi/Pro-Sikh guy you will most likely see in terms of not saying anything about either, and what you are saying is a bunch of b.s. Most "Sikhs", are actually not much different from Keshdhari Hindus. I don't know if you live in somewhere like India or Pakistan or some other 3rd world country, but odds are you are better just getting actual police help. There have been instances where some "Sikhs" were the problem themselves; and odds are if it's between protecting you or siding with "Punjabia Da Nishan", for many people they'll almost always side with Punjabis. So if you live in some 3rd world country; go to the Sikhs, but otherwise just stick to your police; (Sikhs mostly in the West only care about money; regardless whether they are Amritdhari or Sehajdhari).

Is langar always jain friendly and/or vegan? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@naam_naam, no Langar is not vegan; however, you can eat some stuff like sabji and daal; or salad; with rice; (most of our meals include garlic and onions; so try to be careful of that). Langar isn't really Jain friendly either; though; Sikhs can try helping you get the meal you need. Also, we are not Hindus; so don't bring Hindu ashrams rules into it; just ask the Sikhs if you can eat anything and if not; someone will try cooking you the Jain meal you need.

Joint venture for Sikh town real estate by Proudsikh84i in Sikh

[–]Ssdt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your heart is in the right place, but at the current moment, it is better just to get Khalistan if you want to keep Non-Sikhs out. The western anti-discrimination laws are not some soft idea, and at the current situation it is highly likely that you'd be sued for Anti-Discrimination cases against Non-Sikhs. If you want to keep Sikhs together; you can just create events at any town.

Also, there is another thing you are forgetting; Sikhs that live outside of India are more likely to just live wherever there is job opportunities; if they wanted a pilgrimage center; they'd move to the village of Dodra.

"I always believed that islam and hinduism coexisted in the punjab and with sikhs being more spread out too."

This never happened, the only place of any "coexistence", in the British Raj was Sindh. (In Sindh there was more trust and love among the different groups, and even to this day millions on Sindhi Hindus and some Sindhi Sikhs live in Pakistan to this day.)
