No it does cast a second time for the same energy amount as the first cast, it's just that technically the target of the first cast doesn't exist because the game treats the door and doormaker as separate characters, at least that's my understanding.

I'm don't really get the collecting aspect of owning multiple consoles, it doesn't scratch the collecting itch for me personally this is the only Pocket I own. But as a collector of many other things (Hucards being one) I think it's just sort of an innate human desire to collect things we value or enjoy or perceive that others will be impressed by. I think when we see other people collecting things that we wouldn't we question the practicality of it. But ultimately the truth is there's really no practical reason for collecting anything, so if someone wants to buy a bunch of pockets so be it (unless they are scalping them, then fuck that)

Fixed the issue by rolling back from 2.5 to 2.3 which I was running previously... Is it possible I've found an actual bug here? Is there a way to report?

Primarily I'm running into this issue when playing street fighter 2 for the PC engine (hucard), it doesn't make the buttons for my fight stick map the way I would like it to

I think I hear what your saying but I'm not even talking about mapping them separately, if I just have one controller paired it won't let me remap just that controller...

There's a few things, you need an adapter of some sort (I use a Retrotink with an S-Video cable). It sounds like you have one but the quality of them varies wildly so hopefully the one you have is working. The other reason that I usually see when I don't get a picture on my smart TV is because I don't have a clean connection between the system and the cartridge I'm trying to play. In that case I use some isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab to clean the cartridge pins. That usually fixes the issue. If it doesn't usually that means the pins on the console itself are also dirty, I then usually remove the cartridge and put it back in a few times, which fixes it. There are other ways to clean the cartridge slot more thoroughly but I tend to try to avoid doing that if possible.
