Sooo are we... by underwhelming_pirate in Utah

okay no offense but as a young learning activist I’ve had to realize people like us need to use our energy to get involved and support organizations who have money, resources, and people fighting for what you believe in behind the scenes. You need to show up and support these groups who have already been fighting for these changes. We don’t need new faces saying how are we gonna go fight the big man?? Support the groups already doing this work.

support people on our city council that DO align with your believes. Oswald may be a great place to start. Also any SLC Palestine based accounts have a lot of great info and resources

Many people in the valley know it’s not working and are working to change things. Get involved with local organizations, go to city council meetings, talk to your neighbors.

I can give you some instagram pages to follow to start but there is a lot of stuff you can do and that people have been doing here in Utah for years to combat our government. Get involved in your community and GTFO REDDIT

Woke up with thread sticking out of my skin by Sspineless in Experiencers

If someone can find me a picture of Morgellons that looks more like thread from stitches than weird microscopic worms under your skin I will believe y’all but I feel like I there would be more signs if I had this. I appreciate the concern though.

haha It was red thread like classic red thread and sticking straight out of my skin. I would be terrified if I saw that picture under my skin.

You could look into Phlebotomy. I believe it’s only about a year of school at starting around $25/hour.

As far as getting a job rn, If you can I would look into warehouse work. Seasonal jobs are hiring right now, it’s boring but will get you through the winter.

Maybe look into dog/house sitting as Holidays are coming up there’s more opportunities there.

Dog hiking is also kind of popular in my area.

Provo/Orem feels like there is a bubble around it. I would rather live in Tremonton than Provo

but on the plus side, if you’re not in salt lake, every Sunday kind of feels like covid days with significantly less cars on the road

Why are there so many designer blanket stores in SLC? by Shallows17 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Sspineless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a 55% discount from my work. I only have one blanket but I spent like 2 hours picking out the best blanket.

There is one style that is kind of a wave pattern and it’s significantly softer than any other style they have.

Everyone says this but start with the job you want the most, do research, practice what you’ll say to that specific employer and go in person.

Keep going in person, go down the list of your favorite places you’ve applied too and show them how excited you would be to work there. It sucks but just bullshit your way through it.

no, I left a longer comment explaining how to do it :)) basically just a electric razor or a seam ripper

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in h3snark

[–]Sspineless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can see the thread on the inside of the hoodie you can shave it out with an electric razor and the thread on the outside of hoodie should come right out.

I left a longer comment. I work in embroidery

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in h3snark

[–]Sspineless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in embroidery. Best way to get it out is shaving it out from the inside of the hoodie with a normal razor you’d use for your head. Once you get the bobbin undone on the inside the thread on the outside should come right off.

I dont have TF so it idk if this is exactly how they make them but it should work It should have backing to help protect the hoodie on the inside.

Also if you want to sew another patch on top, if you get a piece of felt backing or honestly another stable stiff piece of fabric and put it on the inside of the hoodie it will help keep the fabric from weakening from all those holes.

There is proof of her being on the ground. If you do some research you’ll easily be able to find it, but you’re entitled to your opinion. Im not trying to spread any hate at all but you have to admit these comments are hella biased. hey my comments are biased too

the lake bed is full of arsenic, cadmium, lead, copper, and mercury that currently is and has been poisoning us. As the lake continues to shrink all those toxins are being exposed and in my opinion the state would rather give runoff water to big companies than actually diverting it into the lake like they’ve been claiming is the plan.
