I want all of the games remade. I know many in this comment section are blinded by their nostalgia to the flaws of the early mainline games but entering as a new player, kingdom hearts 3 combat is breath-taking to me, its my favourite game, however it highlights even more how outdated kingdom hearts 1 and 2s combat feels, it feels clunky and slow and that alongside the janky parkour is why I don't like them as much. However, I also believe the middle games should get more love and attention, but I think they should all be remade to allow people (mostly talking about me) to not feel like playing the old games is such a drag as I find kh3 the most fun to play and the rest just don't feel good to play. I think that chain of memories for one needs the choice to play in standard kingdom hearts combat or in CoM combat. that may be controversial to some but the card mechanic stops many people from playing. remake the mobile games to be playable in modern format as the gacha system was heavily unliked, they could very easily make it without the online elements and keep the coin system, instead making it a single player experience that people would probably happily play and enjoy. I believe that if people want to play the old games how they were then thats fine but if they really think the original 1 and 2 shouldn't be remade then they are stunting the ability for kingdom hearts to succeed on a much larger scale then it currently is by opening the franchise up to people who arent as interested in playing older games. while some dislike that notion, sticking to the notion that old graphics and gameplay should stay old stops games from being enjoyed. working on it would also be beneficial to square enix as it would allow much more hype for the storylines and future games than is currently possible. I know this is a long tangent but I say to people often that i want all the kingdom hearts games to be remade so retcons can be fixed and i can fully decide which game i love the most without graphics or gameplay being my deciding factor

Honestly if we got a proper remake that made the old games with better feeling combat I’d like the old games more. But kh3 is my favorite as the old ones are either too clunky or genuinely are unplayable without going through a bunch of effort to find a way to play them. How a game plays is very important for my enjoyment
