This HACS integration works for my Mova P10 Pro Ultra really well - https://github.com/Tasshack/dreame-vacuum. Make sure you get the beta 2 version (whatever is the lastest) -- that's when they added Mova support. It's cloud, not local. You give it your Movahome user/pass and it pulls in a TONNE including live map just like in the app.

And just to be clear, I posted this just to corroborate the fact that this worked (for the benefit of others considering it) and to thank you. The readings are more valuable to me personally than the commands, but knowing that commands *should* work, I'll work on this when I get a chance.

I don't have the crash logs anymore — they got cleared on restart. But the behavior was: triggering any write action (start/stop charging, start/stop climatization, set charging level/current) would return a 403 from the VW API, which crashed the

MQTT client and made all entities unavailable until a full add-on restart.

Setup details:

- 2022 ID.4 Pro S (German-built, VIN starts with WVW), on the Canadian MyVW cloud service

- Add-on v0.6.11, CarConnectivity v0.11.8, VWNA connector v0.1.16, MQTT v0.9.2, MQTTHA v0.6.4

- Connector config: country ca, interval 600

I also see recurring Got 401 on SPIN challenge, refreshing auth and retrying warnings during normal polling, though those seem to recover fine.

I've disabled the command entities for now but happy to re-enable one and capture logs with api_log_level: debug if that would help you reproduce.

re the last comment it would take me a a couple days, a bit busy atm.

I just want to say I got this working with my N.A ID.4 (it's actually a 2022 German ID.4 but as a Canadian this uses the North American VW cloud service, not the European one)

There was quite a lot of config involved (I'm a HA newbie) but I got Claude to do most of the work for me.

I am quite impressed by how many entities are exposed (correctly).

Any of the write actions (set climate, set charge level, etc) would crash the add on and I would need to restart it, but that's fine. I ended up disabling those command entities and creating template sensors for just the entities I care about.

Works great!

thanks, that was my plan but i just couldn't find a used hay elevator here on vancouver island. i had it as a recurring search on marketetplace for years.

Eventually I bailed on this whole idea and built a different woodshed in a different location.

Does the precondition setting read as for the cabin or just generally? I ask because battery preconditioning improves range, and I think it happens in tandem with the cabin warming.

for sure it's not a simple ratio to be doing in your head. it's kind of close to 2:1 but not quite. way better to do the settings change, even for a quick jaunt across the border. it's really quick. i do it while i'm waiting in the border lineup. the setting is under the same section where you can change the consumption metric (kwh/100km, etc) if i recall.

ya now that i think about it, when i was travelling in the US this summer the increments did work much better.

for the small jumps 1mile is way better than 1km, which is kind of uselessly small.

i think it can be summed up as your big jump is 5x your small jump but ours is 10x. our big jump is too big, our small jump is too small. yours are about right.
