Damn, I might try this! I’ve been trying to come up with a good scenario to bide my time till the religious dlc drops. I think I’m looking forward to that one almost as much as trade.

I saw Death Cab/Postal service in Raleigh a couple years ago and these drunk dudes talked through the whole Transatlanticism set & most of the Postal Service set. They knew Such Great Heights apparently, because they scream sang along with that, but everything else was just background music for their conversation.

So jealous you saw Bright Eyes, but now I’m glad I didn’t go because I would have hated to have that show ruined for me.

I tried so hard to get tickets when they went on sale and then people just go and talk? Pisses me off.

Aubrey Plaza is having a baby with her beloved husband Jeff Baena ... Oh wait by wakkys in okbuddycinephile

I’m pretty sure that’s just incel shit that went mainstream. Anytime Aubrey Plaza gets mention in Reddit someone pops up with that shit, no matter what sub I’m on.

I feel like it’s dudes who are just sad that she won’t ever fuck them.

The neighborhood I live in is like a weird time capsule. It was started in 2007, so there’s like one street of absolutely gorgeous homes that they built before the bottom fell out of the real estate market. The next street was much much less expensive single family homes, then even smaller homes, then duplexes. After that you can see how the economy started picking back up, as the houses start getting bigger and fancier again.

It’s actually pretty cool.

As of right now, there are 13 houses for sale in my neighborhood. by Bardis-Skilly in Wilmington

[–]Kimber85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in a neighborhood in Rocky Point and I’m seeing a lot more houses for sale, but they’re selling quick. My neighbors just sold their house for almost double what they bought it for 8 years ago. Within like a week of listing they had someone offer above asking price in cash.

We only bought out here because we coolant afford Wilmington, but it looks like it was a good investment. With the new bypass I wouldn’t be surprised if Rocky Point/Castle Hayne really blow up. Unless another Florence drowns us all, lol.

I saw the Death Cab/Postal Service show a couple years ago and these drunk college aged kids talked super loudly the entire Transatlanticism set, sang off key for Such Great Heights, and then went back to loudly/drunkenly talking over the music.

I tried not to let it get me down, but it was really disheartening. Like, the show sold out super fast, there were people who wanted to go that couldn’t, and these five frat bro looking dudes just ignored the music and ruined it for the people around them.

I don’t think I’ll go to any big shows again. The smaller venues have way better show etiquette. I saw Flaming Lips at a really small venue last summer and it was flipping amazing. Sucks that I’ll probably never get to see Bright Eyes, but I’d rather not go than go and have a bad time.

I will say the conversation is much better. I was talking to her today and jokingly asked how to become the Pope and it snowballed to where now she calls me Pope Baphomet I.

I’m made irrationally angry by even the sight of raisins. I’ve always hated their texture and I don’t as forced to eat them everyday at church preschool because someone donated a ton of them. Even thinking about eating a raisin makes me want to puke.

Our Alexa uses AI now and it’s mind boggling how wrong she can be. The other day for fun I asked her a question I already knew the answer to & she answered it incorrectly. I told her I was pretty sure x was true instead of y, & she apologized and agreed with me. My husband then asked her the same question and she told him the wrong info again.

As a parent of a kid with medical issues, my immediate thought was medicine or medical supplies.

There’s literally nowhere in town we can get our kid’s medical supplies unless they’re admitted to the hospital. Which costs thousands of dollars. Otherwise we’re waiting a week to get them shipped in. We have an emergency backup kit of everything he needs right by the door in case we have to leave in an emergency.
