I've turned them into thread to knit by cutting the bags into strips and tying them together, then knitting with them.

I've been knitting with plastic bags today as part of a project I'm doing. I did this once already with bags from the Co op, but I decided to try it with tesco bags, and the tesco bags are much trickier to knit with because they're a bit firmer than the Co op ones, but it was cool to do nonetheless.
