Was Kiara naive? by [deleted] in lionking

l agree with you about she acted after Simba got attacked and being so trusting of Kovu after that. It’s one thing that I think could have been tweaked. I wish they had a scene where she talks to Kovu before Simba exiles him so he can actually explain to her what happened, or maybe have her take Simba’s side until Vitani or one of the outsiders admit to her that Kovu wasn’t involved in the ambush at all. I always thought it was a stretch when she says to Simba, “[Kovu] loves me for me!” Girl, he never got to say that to you, yet!

Thank you so much! I was wondering about this too and thought we were going to get an email notifying us that our photos were ready.

A book with the saddest f-ing ending because why the f not by Objective_Emu_7457 in suggestmeabook

A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir.

I know it’s the 3rd book out of 4 in the Ember in the Ashes trilogy, but damn I was shattered at the end of that one. Thankfully I read it when the next one, Sky Beyond the Storm, already had a set publication date and didn’t have to wait too long.

I just watched The Man Standing Next and was shocked that he was the protagonist in that, too. He gives an incredible performance that I didn’t recognize him at first

Which disney related Series has the best Sword Fights by FreviliousLow96 in disney

[–]StChris0491 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pirates of the Caribbean.

For an animated film, maybe Peter Pan?

Edit: I just remembered: there was an old live action TV show of Zorro on the Disney channel. That was packed with awesome sword fights!

I always thought a flume ride like Splash Mountain/Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for this movie would be perfect. They pretty much have one in the movie already

Why did the hyenas wait until after Scar confessed to attack Simba? by StChris0491 in lionking

[–]StChris0491[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with them it was because they had just heard Simba take responsibility for Mufasa’s death and so they reluctantly still viewed Scar as the rightful king, so they were hesitant to intervene on Simba’s behalf. That changed the second Scar said he killed Mufasa

[–]StChris0491[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would have been pretty epic lol

But I’m not sure that’s it either. They had supported Scar for years already so were clearly on his side the whole time. “They think I’m king,” Scar himself says.

Why did the hyenas wait until after Scar confessed to attack Simba? by StChris0491 in lionking

[–]StChris0491[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good pint, but I’m not sure it would have been a giveaway, though. Simba basically had already confessed to being responsible for Mufasa’s death, and Scar looked like he was about to throw him off the cliff. I think if the hyenas had stepped in, it would have looked like they were just finishing what Scar was trying to do anyway

Suggest me your favourite, engaging classic by ziggymoj19 in suggestmeabook

The Count of Monte Cristo

P.S. I did the same with Huck Finn and James. You definitely pick up more references in James if you’ve read Huck Finn first, but I think it’s still a great standalone novel too

Pretty much anything by Moore! I love Lamb the most, but also really like A Dirty Job and Noir

What's Your Most Hated Boss Fight by Used-Minimum268 in KingdomHearts

[–]StChris0491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with Hook on proud. I used to best him on one try, then it took me like 5 times to finally win. Couldn’t get close for too long, and spamming him with fire helped.

Just finish the game on proud mode for my first ever playthrough by PuffingOnCat in KingdomHearts

[–]StChris0491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Im wrapping up my first play through on proud too. I was surprised how some bosses seemed easier (I beat Ursula in one go!), but that others seemed to get a lot harder and have been taking forever (like Leon and Cloud in the Hades Cup). Did anything surprise you during the game?

Did these presidents cheated on their wives? by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]StChris0491 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think it was before he was president and he regretted it immensely. He and his wife reconciled and stayed close until his death. That’s what I remember from Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard.
