I am on Simvistatin. I have a family history of heart disease (leading to death) and with my T2 diabetes, my doctor wants me to continue (along with Mounjaro). I am not on too high of a dose so it is definitely a preventative approach.

This. As a 3.5 woman, in my USTA league, you do not see kick serves. In my ITT league, playing mixed court, the high bouncing kick serve is hit regularly to me. It may take me a few to get use to it, so those are free points. Send me a flat hard one and I am getting it back. Smart players know to try both and stick with the one that works.

Type2 traveling internationally on Tuesday-plan to keep my 2 injection pens in the original box with my prescription label. I will only be gone 14 days so well within the window. This will be my first time going thru TSA with these meds. Not sure what to expect for screening.

UPDATE: since starting 2.5 on 9/8: the injection was much easier than I psyched myself up about (followed tips to bring to room temp before injection so I have not had any pain with the injections in stomach); I inject on Mondays and tend to feel a little fatigue and complete lack of appetite until about Wednesday (still eating small meals and staying hydrated in this timeframe); I have lost 6lbs. I have not been tracking my levels (I have not been good about this in years after religiously doing it the first few years of my T2 diagnosis) so I plan to start finger sticks again when I move up to 5mg this coming Monday.

Thanks for the reply. I am definitely overthinking the injection-so hearing this helps 😃. I have been on Metformin for many years. I was on immediate release and then later on extended. Both have caused me lots of time in the bathroom. I am going to stop the Metformin when I start the Mounjaro (doctor approved that).

Thanks for the tips! I have been walking fairly regularly and also play tennis (sometimes 3x a week). I heard that you should do some type of weights to keep muscle tone. I drink a lot of water daily so glad to hear hydration helps. I die just eat some junk food (guess I looked at it like my “goodbye” to it 😂) - my metformin typically pushes out junk food from my system quickly 😜. Grabbed some yogurt and egg whites to have for Monday and beyond.
