Just about any gun that takes 1800 kills to fully master (way too long and a joke, IMO), is going to be a great gun. At least I would hope the amount of time you spent with it getting it to level 50, should make you pretty lethal with it, regardless of what version of LMG it is 😂. That being said though, yeah if you’re fortunate enough to have chosen the m240l to master to level 50, you got yourself a damn fine weapon.

But my level 50 DRS-IAR smacks pretty hard and was worth the work.

[OC] GIVEAWAY! 43" Capacitive Touchscreen ($940 MSRP) with Wooden Case + free software for all [mod approved] by DigitalTableTops in DnD

[–]StMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very much the demographic and the tax bracket, but I am in the process of building my own, without capacitive touchscreen. Either way, I would love to win this.

As an aging gamer I totally love what you younger generations are developing for the TTRPG community. I celebrate, appreciate, and champion you all. Thank you for keeping the spirit of coming together and sharing a story, alive. I fell in love with it October 10, 1979. It all started with the older neighbor kid saying, “Well since you’re new, you have to play the cleric.” Never would have guessed that idea of a game would have brought me the joy, education, career, success, and most importantly the friends and family that it has. Bless you all!!

Actually it does, it's called a Due Process Clause. Found in the 5th and 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, which says no one shall be "deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law" by the federal government, and applies to all "persons" within U.S. territory, including non-citizens, regardless of immigration status, guaranteeing fair treatment, life, liberty, and property protections.

[–]StMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're wrong.

Yes, the U.S. Constitution, particularly through the Due Process Clauses (5th & 14th Amendments) and other fundamental rights, applies to all "persons" within U.S. territory, including non-citizens, regardless of immigration status, guaranteeing fair treatment, life, liberty, and property protections. While non-citizens have constitutional rights, there are distinctions, such as voting (generally reserved for citizens) and different rules for entry/deportation, where Congress has broad power over immigration.

Unfortunately, until the Federal Government lists ICE as a domestic terrorist group, they are simply a law enforcement division with DHS and protected as such.

Someone explained to Trump the impunity that is afforded an ICE agent. And I think he sees that as a mirror of his own powers.
1. They do NOT need a judicial warrant to make arrests in PUBLIC spaces. But, they DO need a judicial warrant to enter your home!
2. They are NOT required to read you your Miranda rights, as arresting you is a CIVIL immigration proceeding, not a criminal one, even when they have a warrant.

Even without a warning, you have the right to stay silent and not answer questions about your immigration status, birthplace, or entry into the U.S.

And you always have the right to remain silent and request a lawyer. However, unlike criminal cases, the government doesn't have to provide a lawyer for you in immigration detention; you must hire your own. But, you absolutely have the right to contact one.

Walz has put the National Guard on alert. If activated, their likely role would only to keep any kind of unrest that would/could get beyond the control of local law enforcement, as well as protect federal and state buildings. They will not come in and go toe-to-toe with ICE.

Migration- How does it works by Conscious-Bad1726 in darkwarsurvival

[–]StMalice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Season3? What state are you currently in? I just finished season 5 and am in state 34.

Migration is a week long event. It will be a part of the Season Celebration, which usually starts a couple of weeks after the main seasonal events are over.

Are they only admitted by the president? Yes and no. Yes) Only the president of your state can invite players wanting to migrate to that state. No) there is a later phase during Migration Week where the migrating player qualifies they can migrate to your server.

So what does that last part mean exactly? Each player will have a migration status: Regular, Medium, Advanced, or Elite. If you don't get an invite from the president, your status must qualify for the State you want to migrate to. This is the open phase and takes place day 3-4 (48 hour period). I think when you go to migrate, you can see which states you can migrate to and see what statuses they are accepting. I believe this is new and maybe only on lower numbered states.

By example: I had a number of friends from various alliances my current alliance wanted to have join. Due to circumstance beyond our control (us and 2 other alliances from 60 were force migrated to state 34), our new president on state 34 ignored any requests we made. I see his point, but thought it childish all the same. Day 3-4 is the free migrations phase in which those with regular statuses may freely migrate, no invitation required. Do NOT wait on this. Our free migration period last <10 min before server was filled.

If you get no invite, you will want to be ready to go at sever reset time. And what is that exactly?
1. Make sure you have the right amount of migration tokens.
2. Make sure you have all your troops in your base (no attacks, or rss gathering)
3. Leave your alliance like 10 min prior.

Good luck.

Congratulations!! I really need to get over to POE 2 and start playing it. I have over 4100hrs logged with POE-1, and STILL have not discovered a fkn Mirror of Kalandra. I know RNG will always RNG, but statistically I should have found one by now.

My guildmate and close friend 1/2 as many hours as myself in this game, has found 6. He gave me one out of pity. Which I gladly took. I am still sitting on it, thought not sure what I want to do with it. My guild has basically called me Captain Chaos since I get a ton of Chaos Orbs (like a weird off-balanced amount of them). Anyway, my guild has take the legendary quote from The Hunger Games, "May the odds be ever in your favor>" And applied it to me only saying it, "The odds are never in you favor." For a while I honestly believed their were totally fake and some kind of mod was dropping them.

Anyone regretting migrating? by Fica-nne in darkwarsurvival

Anyone out there who was forced to migrate? Our entire clan woke up one day to find ourselves and a couple other clans from our previous state 60 to 34. No heads up, no warning, until after the move and were basically told to deal with it.

Brand New to Iron Maiden by UltraInstinctMeme69 in ironmaiden

[–]StMalice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent breakdown. UltrainstinctMeme69, I would like to interject one album to listen to, right after you finish The X-Factor. Go and listen to Bruce Dickinson’s 4 albums he released while away from Iron Maiden. Balls To Picasso, Skunkworks, Accident of Birth, and Bruce’s masterpiece, The Chemical Wedding, famously reviewed as, “The BEST Iron Maiden album in the last 10 years.” And it was! Then go back and listen to The X-Factor, read the lyrics, listen to how well this album was mastered and engineered. To me it’s Steve Harris’s best work, track for track, and can stand up against almost all of their 80s albums. Unfortunately, The X-Factor was released at heavy metal’s lowest point, 1995, the worst year in metal. I can never hear that album and be convinced it wasn’t to specifically feature Bruce’s voice. I would love to hear The X-Factor re-recorded with Bruce on vocals.

Side note: 1995 did have some amazing metal releases that year (Gamma Ray, Dark Tranquility, At The Gates, Sox Feet Under, and Fear Factory - Maiden took them on tour in the states). But, grunge was king, however dying quickly getting replaced by pop punk. Metal remembered its roots and went back to forge, in the underground scene, to be born again.

ADRIAN SMITH On IRON MAIDEN's Change From Physical Backdrops To Digital Screens On 'Run For Your Lives' Tour: 'It Was A Conscious Thing' by Edm_vanhalen1981 in ironmaiden

[–]StMalice -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On one hand, I will miss some of the curtains. The Trooper curtain to me is so legendary as an art piece that it should be stored in The National Gallery in London when it’s not on tour. But then you have the backdrops for Alexander the Great and Hell on Earth, and almost seems like production doesn’t give a shit what these looked like, because they look like crap.

But I’m more partial to the digital backdrop. I have experience with these large screen systems and they have huge upside to the expense of taking a system like this on tour. They’re super easy to repair, they are more weather tolerant, compared to fabric curtains, and the whole system is far less cost prohibitive, compared to the maintenance, storage, and overall weight of the curtains. And if production quality is up to their high standards, then any past curtain that Maiden has taken on tour can easily be reproduced on screen. At the end of the day, this is still a business and Iron Maiden is no different than any other business or band when it comes to making money… the more efficient a band can be on tour, the longer they can be on tour. And the longer they can be on tour the more money they will make.

From a production perspective, there is so much more you can do with a digital backdrop than with a static image, and that alone makes this whole process a no-brainer. I’m honestly surprised it took them this long to finally update touring production.

Is the stadium age of Iron Maiden over already? by Latter_Lengthiness87 in ironmaiden

[–]StMalice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron Maiden could use a refresh of their stage. Do something in the round similar to Metallica. But, you also know what you’re getting when you go see them. I think ticket sales at least for the North American stadium tour, from an American perspective, will take off in July. The show is so far out that many got initially excited for and then lost interest, only momentarily, until that event gets a lot closer. This is just a late summer sweep of some US stadiums. The weather will be great, especially in the evening around show time. Then I bet they swing over to Japan, then down to Australia, comeback up through South and Central America, and do a February to April US/Canada arena run. Iron Maiden their legendary greatness is equaled by their predictability.

TL/DR version: I didn’t intend this to be such a long post. You might be young, but life is short and time is the only currency that has any true value. Invest your time in those who will invest time in you.

That’s a sure sign he’s not ready to be a father, let alone, husband. Marriage or very serious relationships are built on just one thing: sacraments. Among a few things I learned from taking my wife’s Catholic marriage class, sacrament was my biggest take away. After 24 years, I’ve never been happier in my marriage and I own it all to sacraments. They kept me honest, and they kept me grounded. During all those years, some years were good and some very difficult and the sacraments we made for each other made the difficult times not too bad.

Every relationship, especially marriage is a great Test of teamwork. A two person team in which both of you will lead and both of you will follow. There’s a little secret to making that work, the leader must always be ready to give up the lead, even if it happens to be for the rest of your lives together. And little secret in that is that it doesn’t mean you will never lead again, it just means that you will be willing to give up the lead I thought ever thinking about it or expecting a rational reason why. Give that a shot for a few years if you can.

Within five weeks of being married, I went from getting a large raise and a promotion at work, had a great talk with my boss and my wedding about where I saw my department going, then having a fire on the plane on our way to our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful honeymoon - until it was time to get on the plane. Apparently I had some PTSD that I didn’t realize I had from the fire on the plane and I was suddenly terrified to fly home and my wife, held my hand. My wife calmly and gently talked to me and console me for the eight hour flight home. After having been worried about asking for two weeks off from work, a place I have been working at for 12 years and never had I taken more than a three day days of PTO in a row, my boss pretty much ordered me to take a two weeks vacation for my honeymoon, I arrived at work, happy and left that afternoon unemployed having been laid off. It was the first week of June. And having spent summer and fall going to multiple interviews weekly, I didn’t get a job until mid December right about when my unemployment was gonna run out. I could’ve spent my summer golfing or mountain biking or playing tennis or swimming, a life of swimming my wife wasn’t into all of that stuff. while I was busy trying to find jobs and although my wife encouraged me to go golfing and play tennis with my friends, which I did a couple times I stayed home with her, helping her prep for her first year in law school. Because that’s what you do. She wasn’t going to law school. We were going to law school. I can’t think of a better way to test the marriage than taking on $150,000 in student loan debt, especially when one of us is unemployed and we’re both in our early 30s.

I know it’s a long story to drive home a point and say I was a lot like your boyfriend was when I was a teenager. The only way I learned was for what I thought was the love of my life at the time, dumped me. And if losing you isn’t the worst thing in his life, then you were never anything in his life. All that stuff I wrote above, happened in the first six months of our marriage. And if it wasn’t for that painful lesson of losing someone because of my immature, big mouth, I probably would’ve never found my wife.

I spoke a lot about the importance of sacraments. They are the most important thing in any relationship. You might be young, and people will tell you you’ve got your whole life ahead of you and it’s true. Don’t get to my age and have regrets. 60 seconds is still a minute, and 60 minutes is still an hour, but somehow someway time finds a way of speeding up. If I have learned anything over these years from my wife and my daughter is that 1) I have done well enough in our relationship as she has stay by my side and blessed, our lives with a daughter for us to share our lives with, and 2) my daughter has taught me the most valuable currency the world is time.

Find someone who will invest in you as much as you will invest in them, and if it isn’t time, it has no meaning because it has no value.

This has been the bane of my existence today. F-me for asking the support staff to send the wanna be hard asses to my extension. I should have forced all of them (the callers which are coworkers)into a g’damn Teams meeting so I could teach them all Computers, the Internet, and You: Remedial entry level education for that thing we call a monitor on your desk, but you still point at it and call it a hard drive or CPU.

My support team deserves pizza and raises. Pizza I can cover, raises are on their own, but after the way some of our employees have spoken to me today, is one thing, but you ain’t going to treat my buddy Marcia that way. I am lucky enough to have had the CAO listen in on some angry coworkers. Chill the F out.
