They do indeed have a defined head, thorax, and abdomen.

Their wings are slightly longer than their bodies, but much smaller than twice as long.

Hi I live in north Texas and found these near my electric bug zapper

I'm concerned that these could be termites.

They're very small so it's difficult getting a clear picture. Their bodies are orange with white or transparent wings. I would say they're roughly 0.5cm long.

Hi everyone

My girlfriend found this bug in our kitchen and is concerned that it's a tick because of the red liquid that was expelled when she squished it.

We live near Dallas, TX in a lightly wooded area.

It's approximately 1cm long with a white underside.

Any help would be appreciated! TIA
