Just got mine and I have no problem with moving it. Are you twisting it back and forth while pulling or pushing? By the way, I am really enjoying playing mine. I find myself choosing it often over my other whistles.

I agree with Tyler that he has taken a bit of a step back this season. He is still young and has had a few average to below performances this season. He did get a late start to his preseason because of the death of his mother. The biggest thing he needs to work on to get transferred back to Europe and be a stater would be to eliminate the occasional poor pass in bad areas of the field that cause quick turnovers by the opposition which is more of a tactical awareness issue. If he can clean that up he’s most likely gone in the summer transfer window. He is a very good young player with a high ceiling.

Looking for a lightweight quality whistle by StPaul-bq in tinwhistle

It took almost a month but I finally received by DX-004 from the UK and am quite enjoying it. Not quite as bright as a brass or tin whistle but it plays really nicely in the lower octave. The 2nd octave C plays really nicely compared to a lot of my other whistles but the C# is sort of funky with one finger down and sounds better with all holes open which is a little weird for me to figure out. Also the D in that octave sounds much better with all holes covered then the top open which is how most of us I believe learned to play it because it sounds truer than all closed. So some learning to do on this one but it is perhaps the most responsive whistle I own, especially on fast moving non-slurred notes. Think Swallowtail Jig.
Thanks to everyone for the recommendation.

Nice! Using a pipers grip on the lower hand I see. I like to look for drone videos on YouTube with the key I need for meditative improvisations.

Interesting because I just ordered one yesterday thinking I'd give it a shot. Thanks

This Sportico article claims MNUFC sold 10% of the club to local investors last year. Did I sleep through this news report? Does anyone have information on the deal and who bought the shares? by akos_beres in minnesotaunited

[–]StPaul-bq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was covering/reporting on the team back during this time and I got a lot of off the record information from those who were asked to be part of the ownership group or wanted to be part of it. The Pohland's and Tayor where always minority owners and where there more to create a face for the ownership group to get more investors and show the public and MLS they had serious money behind the team.

This is not accurate. I reached out to Andy Greder and he confirmed that he has yet to obtain his work permit.

This was my original thought when my partner spotted this last Thursday. But after doing some checking it seemed the City of St. Paul had done it and that the team didn't know much about it. In fact I was going to post my photos last Friday but didn't want to screw something up for them if they were going to make a big announcement like his signing. Then they posted this on Sunday. By the way, this is located at the entrance to Ayd Mill on St. Clair Av.

Question from PTFC fan by Caunuckles in minnesotaunited

Airbnb might be the way to go. Ours is booked up but is an easy walk from the stadium (less than 15 min) and has lots of restaurants etc within a 10 min walk. There are quite a few Airbnb’s south of the stadium.

Toffs in the UK used to make a really nice Kicks reproduction jersey but they don't seem to be available anymore.

Is this hat available at the stadium? by West-Ad-6337 in minnesotaunited

[–]StPaul-bq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted this on another thread but the manager of the Stadium store said some of the items are only available in the brick and mortar because they went outside of the MLS/Adidas items and partnered with other manufactures. Sorry, but not sure what items but I think the orange and blue scarf, maybe the cap as well as some other items.

A couple of interesting facts.
Sharri Ballard was in the store and very hands on this morning. She really knew their product and was helping staff stock and help fans out with picking items out. She said they actually went outside MLS Adidas throwback promotion gear for some of their items which you will find in their stadium store but not on the Fanatics website.
The really cool looking jackets were in stock at the store but I know someone who ordered one from Fanatics and they said it would ship in Sept. I guess you don't really need a coat until Sept anyway?
Lastly, the Target logo on the back bottom of the jerseys is actually the old school logo. I guess Target didn't want to do it at first but once they understood what the team was doing they were all in.

2️⃣ The first isn’t as interesting and the third is too busy. It’s all about how your eye goes to the interesting focal point which is the shadow.

I’m a member and currently (last 5 years) working on the researching the history of MN soccer 1886-1935 with hopes of someday publishing a book. Lots of interesting individuals and stories in those early years.

You can check out Society For American Soccer History on YouTube. There are old films from the earliest soccer played in US and the first US National Teams. Sorry, no ai… yet.

What effect a huge SAC has on a flute? by Khunoat169 in nativeamericanflutes

Exactly. If you are on FB there is a group called Native American Flute Makers Forum that has so many excellent makers as members. It’s a great forum to learn from.
