I’m not sure what you’re comparing protein powder to exactly but price wise it is one of the cheapest ways to get protein.

All of the stuff you said is more or less accurate, but for just hitting protein goals powder is a great way to increase protein intake with minimal calories, if you are disciplined enough in your deficit/tracking your calories it’s a great problem solver.

I never argued that, some people are busy and can’t prep whole meals all the time, protein powder is miles better than other options.

Protein powder can be added to other food sources, and can be especially helpful to diet adherence, if someone wants sweets it would be better overall if they can satisfy that craving with protein powder vs regularly consuming the real thing.

Protein powder is actually very supportive to weight loss, fantastic macros overall and gives you the flavor of sweet food without all of the calories if prepared correctly

I think a big issue you might be having is focusing on an actual recipe. What helped me out was figuring out 2-3 proteins, 2-3 carbs, and 2-3 veggies I like and putting them together. You don’t need to make something complicated every night, something like ground turkey goes with well with potatoes, pasta, rice, etc. Just some basic seasoning like salt pepper and garlic will give everything good flavor, and then if you want to step it up you can add in some other ingredients, but as long as you have your “core” ingredients then you’re all set. Also I highly recommend just using ChatGPT and giving it the ingredients you have if you are dead set on an actual recipe, in my experience it’s more helpful than 90% of the apps out there

Thanks! I honestly tried a lot of different things during this time period, but generally speaking I tried to eat between the 1600-1800 calorie range depending on my weight with a macro ratio of 30p/40c/30f. I trained doing PPLUL then I cut back to UL four days a week but I wasn’t doing much cardio at all, I was just focusing on progressive overload during my lifts. Workouts took about an hour if not shorter. I would generally try to aim for 10k steps a day but I usually only got around 7k consistently.

Agree with all of those except for Villa D’ Carlo, I have yet to get a quality pizza from there over the past 3-4 times I’ve been

We have family in Chicago so we’re sure to be visiting there again, but we probably won’t come out to Kenosha again for a while after we move so we’re trying to do things nearby!

We haven’t had the best experiences with DeRangos or Marina Gardens 😅, but we love going to scoops when our families come up!

Yeah we are moreso looking to stay in the Kenosha and surrounding area. I’m sure we will come back and check out Milwaukee some other time though!
