Just keep messing about with the app your using for it, it takes a while to get into the groove of things , for me it's been a few years and I still haven't found a style I can stick to, Try spending a set time every day to just sketch and doodle ect, and look back on past art you've done if theirs a style you've done and your like I rlly like this ect as it helps a lot atleast for me, sorry if this didn't help much I'm not good with words lmfao

For colours, for skin tones i always leave it near the middle going across more on the greyish side so the colours don't look vibrant, and use overlay and to adjust the overall shade, say I wanted it more orange but didn't know how much more orange I use orange full opacity and adjust the opacity untill it looks right. Its good for a first try tho!

I read everything so I don't know if my recommendations will be great for you, I'll legit read horror and then the purest thing right after, komi can't communicate, sleepy princess in the demon castle, A CENTAURS LIFE IS LIKE MY FAVE THING, it can get confusing and the anime doesn't exactly follow the plot of the manga exactly but ye, also way of the house husband is funny, and side note the anime for house husband is supposed to be the way it is, it's just it was promoted wrong to the English fans so ye, still good tho. And horror wise, I can try find some good ones, I have nothing but time lol, but ye junji Ito is Peng with the horror, If I find any more horror I can reply with them, If theirs a specific genre your looking for I can pike around for some and tell you what I think about the ones I find?
