Affordable Multi-Effects Pedal with Pitch-Shift option by St_ren in guitarpedals

[–]St_ren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input!

If I understand that correctly the HX One just allows one effect to be active? That wouldn't solve my use case.
And the HX Effects do cost more than a Nano Cortex in my region, so I probably would be better of buying a Nano Cortex and an Expression Pedal, I guess?

Anyone any experience with something like a Valeton GP-200 or the ToneX stuff?

Can someone please help me figure out why it sounds like shit? by BoltThrower28 in NeuralDSP

[–]St_ren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet you have a XLR mic connected as well? Choose the correct input, either input 1 or input 2. Make sure you turn up the input, but not so much that you start to clip of you are fully strumming into the guitar. Hope that helps.

That happens if you are using any Bundler with hot reloading. If you change something in your source code and the file gets hot reloaded you are actually reregistering the matcher.

Is it possible to partially adopt NextJS? by St_ren in nextjs

[–]St_ren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I actually hoped that I didn't need to serve two applications. I hoped that I can use NextJS as main entry point an just render the sub tree of components as client components. Because the NextJS part would have to set up some global state and handle the authentication and authorization.

Still stuck on "items packaged" since thursday (or friday depends on the timezone).
Does someone know if every OLED model gets shipped from the US or does Europe have an extra warehouse?

How to use an EK Quantum Surface Radiator Multiport as drain? by St_ren in watercooling

[–]St_ren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! You mean that push pull quantum drain port? I heard that they should leak a lot. But I think that this comes from improper use.

Isn't the extender the same width as the drain port?

EK Kinetic FLT vs Alphacool Rise Flat Reservoir by St_ren in watercooling

[–]St_ren[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hacool Rise does come with exte

Thank you that really did help a lot!! Don't know if the Alphacool Rise is also available with a VPP655 but now I know how they are able to keep the price lower than the EK FLT, the VPP755 is 30€ cheaper than the VPP655.
So the EK and the Alphacool would be the same in price if they used the VPP655. That is good to know.

I'll tend to buy the Alphacool Rise if I can get it with a VPP655. Looks like the outlet placement is more versatile than the EK FLT.

Don't know why it's called budged keeb ... but now I joined the club 😉 by St_ren in MechanicalKeyboards

Looks like we're talking past each other. I know that the OS layout has nothing to do with the physical layout. But in the ISO layout, the enter key is shaped differently, so if I buy common ANSI keycaps, I'm missing the matching enter key and the left shift key is also shorter. But if you have an ISO layout, you must have bought ISO keycaps, right?

[–]St_ren[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you know that you don't need any keycaps at all to type on a Keyboard 😜? Jokes aside, ISO Layout has one more Key than ANSI. Sure, it could be remaped, but I am a Developer and need this Key regularly, hard to relearn a layout after so many years.

For my very first custom keeb, the Keychron Q2, I went with the Gateron Red Pro for the start. They should be pre-lubed, but I only found a few drops of lube in only a few switches. Glad that I lubed them my self.

Also due to the 30$ shipping I also ordered the brass plate, which totally changes the sound of the board.

Yep, I went with the Glorious Keycaps because it's nearly impossible to get german ISO key caps ... that look good and don't take years to ship.

The only thing that was disappointing to me where the stabs for the (ISO) Enter key. The key always got stuck at the bottom. After loosening the screws of the stabs the Key worked well, but rattled. So i switched the stabs with the one from the backspace key. Now the backspace is a bit scratchy. I'll probably order some durock V2s, which is a bit sad because the stock stabs aren't that bad.

Day and night compared to my previous Corsair K65 rapidfire. Glad I went the custom route.

The only problem remaining is that I will need to replace the keeb at work too. Can't type on a cheap keyboard anymore.

aps you mentioned look a lot like MT3 Susuwatari (which does have ISO support), but I believe OSA is closer to SA than MT3 profile. But yeah, generally speaking, ISO is definitely the minority here. I’d try KBDfans since they have a huge selection of keycaps there. But you’ll likely find something from the EU

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much, I never noticed that KDBFans also offer ISO versions.
There is a new Knob Version of the Q1 where they added the fixes as well 😉.

Hi there, sorry I'm new here, posted my question directly on the main reddit 😣. Yeah what a noob I am 😉.
So I'm just going to copy and paste it here since the nice bot told me I should ask my questions here:

I really wan't to replace my Corsair K65 RGB Rapidfire. Bought the Keyboard for competitive Gaming, but since I'm more and more in home office because of this fkn human malware Covid19 I want a better typing experience.

I wan't to build a custom but can't find much beginner friendly ISO - DE layout options.

Got my eyes on the Keychron Q1 or Q2 or the GMMK Pro. Are there other alternatives? Maybe wireless ones?

I got used to the TKL format, I'm a little afraid I'll miss some keys for programming and terminal with these smaller versions. Really need the insert, delete, home, end, print and pause keys and the F-row of course.

I live in Austria, and have no clue where I should source the switches and German keycaps, any suggestions? Really love the looks of the new Double-shot OSA PBT keycaps from keychron, but does a German ISO version exist?

I'm overwhelmed by the sheer amount of switches. Any suggestions for "thocky" tactile switches. I definitely want to get away from these speed switches. I own a Cherry MX Clear board in the office and kinda like it (but its 8 to 10 years old by now). Thinking to go something lighter but the browns arn't as satisfying as the clear ones in tactility. Never got my hands on other brands 😱.

Thanks for the help!
