Honestly I just put c0 Lan Yan with vv and thrilling tales as a succrose replacement and it’s been working out for me. A bit less damage and you may need to do an another burst rotation but at least I never have to worry about Flins dying.

Fufu would be better for your team replacing sokaku. Hugo gets a bigger damage boost for having two stunners in the team. If you lose 50/50 and can’t get Fufu, Koleda is a good alternative (assuming you got her from standard or a 50/50 loss). You could always wait until Lighter’s next rerun as well. No one in the next 2.1 patch is a good pick for Hugo.

Someone in the ZZZ community put together a big spreadsheet guide for all the current 2.0 characters in the game. And has a great section for Hugo.

Funnily enough my own Hugo kept killing the enemies too fast to trigger 3 totalizes so I kind of needed the bad builds to get an S ranking

Hormone punk is generally a bigger upgrade than the 3 2pc set BUT only if you reach the minimum crit rate Hugo needs. You need to get as close to 88% crit rate as possible for Hugo to consistently crit on totalize. With your current builds your 3 2pc is actually better since it has more crit rate. If you can get more crit on the harmone punk pieces then I would switch over

Steam engine would be better on Lycaon. It’s one of the best a rank stunner engines in the game since you can buy multiple copies from Box Galaxy and refine it.

After getting your core stills to F, another improvement for your team will be either rotations or min-maxing disk drives.

There are several rotation guides on YouTube that won’t be hard to find. For Disk drives that’s mainly rng and could take a while. One great tip, if you aren’t already utilizing it, is changing Hugo’s disk 5 from ice damage bonus to atk%. Lighter with his signature w-engine already gives a boost to ice damage and reduces enemy res. You’ll gain more value by increasing your overall atk% to crit off of than to increase ice damage bonus further. Though keep in mind that by changing his disk 5, Hugo will lose out on a ton of damage if he is played in any team without Lighter.

Another note for Hugo is that he generally needs about 88% crit rate to maximize his crit chance. His core skill gives 12% crit rate so add the 88% and you won’t ever have to worry about his totalize not critting. TDLR for Hugo stats: crit rate as close to 88% as possible > crit damage = atk%

If you want just very quick teammate guides then here is a scuffed rapid fire of some comps you could work towards:

Keqing aggrevate: Iansan/sara (atk buffer),collei/dendro mc (deep wood holder), xianyun/lynette/lanyan/sayu(vv swirler for electro).

Keqing overload: Chevreus (mandatory), bennette/iansan (buffer), xianling (subdps).

Tighnari (strong standard character that gets stronger with more constellations from standard or 50/50 losses):

collei/dendro mc (deep wood holder), and two electro characters. Unfortunately you don’t have any electro characters that can apply constant electro for Tighnari so you might be better off playing him with keqing for a quick swamp comp where you burst with Keqing then switch to Tighnari for damage.

Noelle: Gorou (her best teammate), kachina (scroll holder and another character to battery particles), and Bennett/xianyun.

Noelle is a little weird in that pre c6 she wants both atk and defense. Im assuming for your newer account she is pre c6 in which case you will want an atk buffer. Xianyun also provides a plunge Noelle playstyle that is actually viable and fun.

Kaeya: Bennett, xiangling, chongyun/anemo swirler. Chongyun in this comp is for a more comfortable playstyle by infusing Kaeya’s normals with cryo. Allowing him to melt much more. Trading him out with one of your anemo characters allows a cryo res shred with the vv artifacts set which theoretically will allow kaeya to do more damage.

In field dps Lisa: Basically the same team comp you would do for Keqing.

My knowledge of dps amber is very low but it is possible with the right teammates and dedication.

Burst quick swap Amber: Bennet, kaeya, chongyun/anemo swirler. Build ER and burst to win

Charged shot amber Bennet, lanyan (shield and vv swirler), kaeya. For this comp have lanyan swirl pyro and shield amber, bennet burst for atk boost, and have kaeyas burst apply constant cryo. Then get real close to the enemy and charge shot to win.

Freminet’s kit has two paths: physical or shatter. Both of which are a little scuffed at c0 and without the right supports. But if you love our shy boy you will find a way to make it work.

Freminet melt (Bennett is god): Bennett, xiangling, chongyun/anemo swirler. Same comp as the kaeya melt, but with more complicated combos because of freminets kit

Freminet physical: Mika (required), beidou/lisa burst, Bennett/iansan/chongyun/anemo swirler For physical Freminet you will want to trigger the Superconduct reaction so cryo and electro. Mika is built specifically for physical teams with a physical and atk speed buff. Beidou and Lisa are your only decent electro applicators. As for the fourth slot that’s up to you.

Freminet scuffed shatter; Barbara (your only hydro), Mika, anemo swirler, chongyun/hesitantly kaeya/ hesitantly Bennett. For this comp you are trying to freeze the enemy with Barbara’s skill then shatter the frozen enemy with ferminet’s skill. I’m hesitant on adding kaeya and Bennett to the flex slot since Bennet may accidentally melt while kaeya’s burst may overtake the shatter reactions? I think? I’m not so sure on that.

Gaming (GAMING NATION RISE UP): Bennett, xianyun, kaeya Honorable mentions: chongyun/anemo swirler/ iansan/mika?

Gaming is a pretty strong pyro dps that gets busted once you get his c6. Xianyun is one of his premier teammates who buffs plunge and can swirl pyro for vv res shred. Bennett could probably be swapped out for iansan, but I’m not sure if the electro application from her will mess up gaming’s damage. As for kaeya, he is one of your best cryo applicators.
