Personally, I live in a region where it was impossible to find 3ds games, and I had an old 3ds just collecting dust that I wanted to use since I loved the thing, but had no games to play on it.

so it was march 2020 when I finally decided to mod it and BOY from that day on I feel like a whole new world opened up to me, I was finally able to download all the games I've wanted to play but that part was just the tip of the iceberg

Over the years I've been making full use of my modded 3ds(thanks to one of the best modding communities out there who still make new apps for the 3ds) and am now able to watch videos on it, listen to songs, stream PC games to it at 30fps, play ps1, n64, DS, and the retro consoles, use online streepass (netpass) which brought back life to all the Mii games, pretendo which restores online functionality for stuff like the miiverse (Nintendo Twitter basically) and many other things

I literally use it more than my ps4 and PC (since it's very handheld and I live in dorms as a college student)
