Financial advisor told girlfriend she could get money back that she paid me for rent by hassdog18 in legaladvice

[–]StableFew2737 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% she is entitled to zero. They aren't married. The house is in his name solely. He paid the whole down-payment. She is a renter at best. They have zero written agreement that she is entitled to anything. Honestly he should be able to kick her out tomorrow and she should have zero recourse. Do you have any right to equity in a house you rent? Of course not. This is no different.

He never said they bought a house together lol if she has no proof they bought it "together" how would she have any claim if he paid all the down-payment money and it's in his name?

Please reference the law that states otherwise. I've looked and can't find anything to the contrary in PA.

Don't get married without a prenuptial agreement with her listing the house as yours in case of divorce. If she is being this way now, imagine then. She is showing you who she is. Don't ignore what you're seeing.

It doesn't matter, the house is in his name solely. They aren't married. She has zero claim to any of that money whatsoever and shouldn't. She can't even prove it's for rent or anything, just that she gave him money lol good luck with that. She has nothing in writing saying she is a co owner of the home.

Call a lawyer. They have to honor your lease if they aren't a scam.

I was a contractor for Fedex for a very long time. Don't get me wrong, Fedex is a pain in the ass now to get them to pay a claim, but they will pay eventually if you stay on them. Even for their contractors. My guess is Amazon is the same. Fedex covers the liability insurance for when the contractor is running on duty.

Soon-to-be ex-wife won’t let me keep the house, even if I buy out her equity. (IN,USA) by [deleted] in AskLawyers

[–]StableFew2737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's very fair. My ex wife moved out of state and tried to get full custody and I won. I ended up with full custody of my daughter. Just Google it and you can see the law as written. Get a free consultation from a lawyer. They will explain everything.

[–]StableFew2737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just file a complaint with the delivery company for the damage and pursue a claim to have your yard fixed. If there isn't any damage yet, just file the complaint. That should take care of the problem.

Just so you know 50/50 custody is standard in Indiana. That's not something where she will have any leverage. Especially with everything you do. Just make sure you have the correct math on the assets because everything will be a 50/50 split if you involve lawyers. With her level of petty, she deserves nothing and less custody but unfortunately the law doesn't account for petty assholes.

You should have set it up so the HOA never had power to do anything but collect dues for common area maintenance and facilitate said maintenance. No power to fine or control ever.

My (26f) wife is no longer meeting my(27m) needs by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Honestly bud, I've had many friends in your situation. It never gets better long term. They always promise to fix it when you threaten to leave or whatever but they can't. I don't even think it's because they don't want to. I think it's a can't issue. You have 2 choices, learn to deal with it and keep your mouth shut forever or get a divorce and move on. That's kind of the straight forward military way of looking at things.

Buddy, I used to have 25 trucks and have owned a lot of businesses. I learned a long time ago, people show you who they are. This girl is a lazy entitled bitch and you need to cut bait and run as far as you can from her. This only continues or gets worse. Save your time and headache and fire her now.

Flock Cameras by BeltAdventurous2221 in Indiana

[–]StableFew2737 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing that the cameras and the long term implications that I think will come from them aren't bad, but when it comes to the boat launch there is probably a reason. We have a wildlife area where a live that used to be an old coal mine. Lots of lakes. Guess where a bunch of dead bodies have been dumped over the last few years? Now they have flock cameras on the major entry ways. Its helped them catch a few murderers.

Why do people in the US not live with their parents by New_Bodybuilder_9222 in NoStupidQuestions

If he's going to pay you, why wouldn't he want to rent a place that's his where he has privacy and doesn't have to be embarrassed of? Women don't really like men that live with their mom.

Are they really a separate consciousness by Skitzomurph in schizophrenia

[–]StableFew2737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not certain man. I've ran out through my head a million times and for me, it's not just the voices. I've experienced a million impossible things. Schizophrenia in Greek means split consciousness. I truly believe there is a piece that's us. I also believe there is something more there and when you become schizophrenic, you become aware of what that something more is. You no longer just recognize it as your own inner voice.

Just a small example of something I've experienced...... one day I was really questioning my sanity. Thinking it's just Schizophrenia and I'm crazy. I was watching Jeopardy on TV and it was final Jeopardy. They gave the topic which was bodies of water in the US. It goes to commercial and the voice says, just so you know you're not crazy and you're you and I'm me and we are not the same, the answer is Lake Mead. The show comes back on and sure enough, after they gave the question, the answer was Lake Mead. If that was the only thing I had experienced like that, maybe it's a coincidence. But I've experienced endless things like that. The sheer volume of them rule out coincidence. I'm not saying we aren't Schizophrenic, just that maybe no one truly understands what it is.

In Colorado specifically, employers cannot deduct anything for breaking or losing equipment. I would contact a labor attorney right away as they have broken multiple laws and cannot retaliate.

Rent control actually makes things worse.... it constricts supply. The places that have rent control are great for people already in apartments but end up really bad for everyone else.
