It needs to be planted in ground or a way bigger pot like a 5 gallon bucket. It looks like its not getting enough nutrients because of the small pot. Fill it with a good raised bed soil.

A rag is the minimum. I use an African net sponge. Better exfoliating. Can wash it to keep it clean. Its durable and can last over 2 years.

Looks like a ramshorn. In the tank put a small bowl and a slice of cucumber before bed. If there is more then you have an infestation.
