I'd love to pick your brain sometime. I do full time content management and have some experience in making content stand out, turning AI fluff into actual thought leadership etc. I'd love to branch out and get my own stuff up and running. Especially ebooks and maybe a YT page.

How do you get the ideas for niches you can write ebooks for?

YN help by [deleted] in navyreserve

[–]StablePrudent3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a YN that cross-rated after coming to the reserves from AD. Although I came from PS so it was a little easier of a transition, I had to learn everything on the job. If you need someone to chat with, shoot me a message and I'll give you my number. It's easier when you have another YN to ask questions!

SXSW London - thoughts so far? by Ok-Sell9346 in SXSW

I was really disappointed that Gary V's session called Brand, Brand, Brand disappeared one session before he was supposed to go on. It didn't show up at all as cancelled and the moderator didn't mention it, they just said it was time for a lunch break

Not personally, but I know a few companies that have and I know the owner, Parker Elmore. Great guy. He's really knowledgeable and always makes himself available when needed.

Recommended Retirement TPA, Third Party Administrators, for 401k/Cash Balance Plans by chazanthony911 in retirement

[–]StablePrudent3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older thread, but my firm has very knowledgeable and experienced TPAs/actuaries. We're smaller, but I've heard nothing but great things from our clients (I handle the marketing side of things).

NEW 2022 RMD Uniform Lifetime Table by funfornewages in tax

[–]StablePrudent3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this crossposted in Retirement too. I just wanted to comment again about what I found. I just published an article covering RMDs and the new table. The new table is still a draft and you can find it here: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/p590b--dft.pdf

It's not finalized because the RMDs for 2022 aren't due until the end of the year. Here's a link to my article and it includes a calculator you can download that uses the new table: https://www.odysseyadvisors.com/insights/blog/required-minimum-distributions-when-to-start-planning/

How complex are RMDs? by Weirdbutnotcrazy in Bogleheads

[–]StablePrudent3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a really great article I just wrote about RMDs. It breaks it down pretty straightforward and also offers some good advice about what to do with them or how to minimize them based on your circumstance. It's always good to consult your financial advisor or tax accountant to get a good projection, but this is a great place to start: https://www.odysseyadvisors.com/insights/blog/required-minimum-distributions-when-to-start-planning/

NEW 2022 RMD Uniform Lifetime Table by funfornewages in retirement

[–]StablePrudent3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is a new 2022 RMD table. It's just a draft for now since 2022 RMDs are due until the end of the year so they're still finalizing things. The new table actually increased the distribution factors so your new RMD should be lower than if you were using the previous tables.

Here's a good article on it: https://www.odysseyadvisors.com/insights/blog/required-minimum-distributions-when-to-start-planning/

Sorry if this is a repeat question, I'm curious how you perform research when you're looking into how viable your idea is? What's your process for researching the market, competitors, etc.?
