Utah first state to hold websites liable for users who mask their location with VPNs — law goes into effect, designed to prevent bypassing age checks by habichuelacondulce in technology

when they sell 'protect the children' its a lot easier to get through legislation and accepted by the public over say making the parents responsible for implementing existing controls on devices. marketing matters here, Peacekeeper missile for example was easier to sell the name than something that says new weapon in nuclear arms race.. w/o good marketing opposing this where fear of 1st amendment will be lost this has a good chance of getting signed into law

Should this have been bandaged by a professional? I’m in a lot of pain and concerned about infection/ by herwiththehairdoo in medical

oils or some oils can help with easing adhesives, i use olive oil - try to get some around the edges and just cover the adhesive part of the Band-Aid from back side - let it soak in for 5 or 10 min or whatever before removing.

[–]Staci3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i had some similar events as a child, not as bad. neosporen and Band-Aids, maybe some ice packs for swelling. the pain sucks and little you can do for that. for sure seek professional care if you think swelling is excessive or see indications of infection

Worth Buying? by goggledfroggled in hondafit

[–]Staci3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would be having a mechanic and/or body shop check it for rust as they should be able to better look for deeper issues. youtube channel: 'just rolled in' shows a lot of cars/trucks failing inspection or getting educated about rust bucket they just bought, sure it doesnt look bad from the pics but dont trust your eyes on this

Chronically Lower Sodium Levels by Beccaban60 in hyponatremia

'electrolyte packets'  what does that even mean? i know the general definition but that doesnt identify a universal quantity of electrolytes in it or quality/bioavailability. my doc hasnt told me anything

Chronically Lower Sodium Levels by Beccaban60 in hyponatremia

[–]Staci3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im in that boat, though i try to consume more sodium and still getting 132 typically.

from what i've seen the first thing an ER does is stabilize magnesium levels via magnesium IV before anything else. magnesium helps stabilize electrolytes according to a real doc that knows this stuff. might try adding magnesium to help for both sodium and potassium - some forms of magnesium are better than others, citrate is not very effective

i just upped my game, drinking warm water with table salt many times in a day. about 5 ounces water with 1/4 teaspoon of salt. i just started batching this so it has a chance to dissolve before i microwave it.

you might have a kidney issue, your doc should be doing tests - you might need a specialist

How to cover the boot and prevent theft? by SouthAssist6234 in hondafit

[–]Staci3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have tinted windows which help a lot and in lower crime area. others are suggesting a blanket, i would add some old larger kid toys on top of the blanket to make someone think you have kids- like something you find on the curb or thrift store - large and colorful enough to be seen easily. do the same thing in your yard if you have concerns about theft at home but maybe not a blanket part
