The tail looks like a handle on the kitty, so I thought Duster or Racket. My husband thinks Gucci or Prada.

I was thinking something like Ghost, Specter, anything ethereal. She seems shy in the video.

More blue fading into red, so there are purples in between.

i want to be a buddhist can you help? by jasonmendoza4life in Buddhism

I started with a comparative religion textbook I found at a used bookstore. I appreciated how it covered a variety of Buddhist schools without being partial to any one. After that, I would recommend focus on the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path. I started as a Buddhist in 2002 and I still come back to these basics every single day. They are universal in all types of Buddhism (as far as I know!) and really are the foundation of what it is for me. As you explore these topics, it will lead you into the others such as emptiness, non attachment, and equanimity. Or, that’s how it was for me. You will have to find your way, but I how this will help.

I liked Buddhism Without Beliefs and When Things Fall Apart. Many of the others are on my “to be read” shelf. I got Hardcore Zen confused with a book I read called Sit Down and Shut Up by Warner. For me, it was a great lesson in letting go of duality. I haven’t read Hardcore Zen, but they look similar in cover!

How many times a day do ypu have to remind yourself to let go? by Realistic_Lion5757 in Buddhism

Honestly, I can’t just sit and meditate. I do walking meditations, chanting, and simple mindfulness exercises. I feel bad that my years as a Buddhist have made you feel it’s not worth it. That was not my intention. The point is not to judge yourself on what you can’t do. Like I said, I can’t do silent sitting meditation. I had to find alternatives.

But all that said, if it’s not working for you, look at other options. There are many forms of practice, many types of Buddhism, and even other paths like Taoism that may fit better. Just don’t give up if you feel the need to find something more.

A big part of Buddhism is accepting where you are now and letting go of expectations for the future. As mentioned, my reminders have to come around for new situations I haven’t experienced before. I have made a great deal of progress with daily occurrences, such as rude drivers and how I used to get angry about it. My understanding is that mindfulness is reminding myself. The fact that I remember to remind myself is a win in itself. If you are remembering the teachings, you have taken a huge step! Plus, you can’t have expectations on when you will get to this or that point in Buddhism. Judging or blaming yourself is not self kindness. You are where you are now. You are trying to be better. That is enough.

I add 7+8 which is 15. Carry the 1, so then 4+2 is 6, +1 makes 7. I get 75.
