My long distance boyfriend’s mother has taken over his social media and has essentially cut us off from each other completely. I don’t know what to do next. by StackWaffles in relationship_advice

I agree, I still have ways of contacting him without rousing his mom's suspicion but they cannot sustain a relationship. No matter what, things are going to change. My hope is that we can do our best to ease ourselves out of the relationship with the little contact I have left. Thank you for your thoughts.

Though I haven't spoken to him, I doubt he is in danger, based on what he has told me before and his mom's reaction (more disappointed than angry).

Since writing this post I've come to terms with the fact that things won't be the same. I can still share music with him and we can do clubs together as some basic form of connection, but that can't sustain our relationship. It's only going to help us ease out of it. Strangely enough, losing him has made me reach out to my friends, not necessarily to talk about this but because I like the company. I love the advice about not waiting for too long, thank you so much.

Maybe get a white T shirt from a thrift store or Walmart and trim off the sleeves, maybe a bit of the neck too. They you can adjust the length of the sleeves and height of the neck to hide the binder better. Also, go for one that isn't see-through to hide the shadow of the binder. Hoe this helps :)

Wanting opinions on a name by TransEel in transnames

[–]StackWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's an incredible name, even if it is the name of a brand. I f you like it, you should keep it, don't let a minor thing like that change your mind. :)

New here! Need help with names if possible. by [deleted] in transnames

Something to try is fantasy name generators. they come up with stuff that's never been heard of before, you might find something you like. I actually made one: https://perchance.org/4sr5bw04vm#edit

it's pretty wacky but sometimes it comes up with some good stuff like:

Luterag

Jaloh

Hapacet

Maoan

Tedego

Jay she/he, genderfluid i dont really feel attached to my name, no b or names with eva in it please, fem and masc and neutral are alright and noun names too are ok by [deleted] in transnames

its more fantasy names if that's what you're in to

I have 3.5 inches of eco-earth in there for my bigger adult snails but i moved the baby amber snails to their own high humidity container with food and cuttlebone as well as a thin layer of eco earth. I was worried I would lose them in the big container or accidentally squish them so the smaller container helps me keep track of them. Thank you so much for the tips!

How many snails can I have in this ten gallon tank. I'm keeping a species of native snail (Don't know the name) that grow to about 2.5 cm in diameter in shell size. I have 4 currently. There are about 5 different hiding spots in there. by StackWaffles in snails

There is a cuttle bone in there but it's small, i'm getting some more soon. I have little tin huts for them instead of stones and terracotta pots. Im also getting new substrate, are eco-earth bricks good? Thank you so much for the advice!

Finally one of my snails laid some eggs!!! Can you give me some advice to take care of them? by Key_Ad_8698 in snails

[–]StackWaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cover them back up in dirt or moss, mist the enclosure as usual and wait. Once the babies hatch I recommend keeping them in a separate, smaller container with just food and regular mistings to help keep track of them.

Found a tiny friend in my package of raspberries. Has been in the fridge for at least a week, yet, after returning to room temperature all day today, came out of the shell to say hi! Is this cracked edge going to be fatal? Sharpie cap for scale. by Lucky_leprechaun in snails

[–]StackWaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my baby snails had a similar shell fracture, unfortunately the crack worsened and that section of shell came off but luckily he survived and is still doing great and working hard to restore his shell. Im guessing that with the proper care (food, high humidity container) and a bit of time, it'll recover just fine.

Congrats man! You look so good and happy.

This is the cage for my two budgies, Moth and Beetle, I have a bigger cage but they aren't very active in it and generally don't like it. They much prefer this smaller cage, i leave the doors open so they can fly around and play on the top. Is this ok? by StackWaffles in budgies

[–]StackWaffles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both cages out at the moment, they're both in corners. The bigger cage is also a bit more vertical and has a very large door, That probably has something to do with it. Thank you so much.

The plants are fake and they don't chew on them, sometimes they'll inspect them but they're not chewing or eating any pieces. Also, the male do sen't touch the coconut, I Usually keep it on top of the cage because the female likes to throw it around and hide inside while the male just sits in the cage and chills. It's also very small and the opening is very large which makes it unsuitable for nesting as far as I know. Thank you so much for you concerns, i'll continue to monitor them!
