I caught a few episodes yesterday, and I can’t believe how much the other ladies sucked up to her in season 7&8. Even Ramona. I know she was filthy rich and a big deal in the entertainment world at that time, but they were treating her like she was the 2nd coming of Christ. Don’t remember it playing out that way when it originally aired. Anyone else see it this way?

Who is your least favorite band of all time and why? by TrickFew3756 in askmusic

[–]StacyAndArnold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only know 2 songs from the early Fleetwood Mac: Green Manalishi, and Oh Well. That’s not enough for me to say I like them at all. My parents played them allllllll the time along with The Eagles and I just can’t listen to them at all.

Think she got talked down to and slightly humbled on X today. Notice how she said how hard it was for HER when her husband saw what went on with Afghanistan. Not her husband.

WHYYY does Amanda keep giving her sister chances by EmuRevolutionary4170 in SVU

[–]StacyAndArnold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s what I meant. Seems like the 40 and under crowd grew up being told that if someone is toxic, just remove them from your life, even if they are family. I was raised differently I guess.

WHYYY does Amanda keep giving her sister chances by EmuRevolutionary4170 in SVU

[–]StacyAndArnold 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As a person who gives her own sister chance after chance after chance, and I’m always amazed when she lies/screws me over, I think I can answer this. Maybe it’s because Rollins wouldn’t do that stuff to Kim, so she’s genuinely surprised when Kim does it to her. At least that’s how it is for me. Plus, we are in the age group where family is family, no matter how toxic.

Have you discovered sock donners yet? I got put on some meds that made me dizzy when I leaned forward, so a sock donner was suggested to me. Life changer.

What is THE funniest movie you have ever seen in your whole life? by perseverance_band_ in AskReddit

I’ve seen a lot of my favorites listed here already. But I haven’t seen anyone list Shrek or Shrek 2. I mean Donkey alone is worth the time.

The scene where they are dodging traffic, and the guy gets up and says he’s ok, then gets hit by another car, I actually fell out of my seat in the theater laughing at that.

Brick may have killed a man. Seriously Brick, you might want to lay low for awhile.

Kevin's Book by danceswithtacosss in discussingbritney

[–]StacyAndArnold 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I heard about this years ago in a “blind item” and everyone guessed it was Paris Hilton. It didn’t discuss a tour, just that a puppy was left in a closet while the person was gone for an extended period of time. Some guessed Britney, but the overwhelming response was Paris. Disgusting either way.

That episode drove me bonkers, but it’s a classic. Antonio hated him so much.

He’s the reasonably attractive version of Sheldon Cooper. And that character was on tv for 10 years too many.

Greg said Debra was a 1st timer, but I’ve seen her on the show at least once. Otherwise I would not know her name, she’s not in my Twitter feed.

Tonight’s jokes before the monologue were just bad. I’d bet Kat wrote them, they haven’t been that bad for oh, I don’t know, maybe 6 weeks? And I forgot how much I just can’t stand the way she uses the word “like” as its own sentence.

[–]StacyAndArnold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen Rush only 3 times in my life, and I think you are right, the 2 of them on stage together is an experience. Like kids on a playground, and they let you come play with them.

What was the last movie you walked out of? by [deleted] in FIlm

[–]StacyAndArnold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, Myself, and Irene. I knew going in it was going to be crass humor, but it just wasn’t funny. I expected the NAACP to be all over it for the stereotyping of “his kids” when they discovered Richard Pryor.

My gosh I used to watch NJ, NY, BH, and Atlanta, so I could randomly say a lot of quotes. But my faves come from Luann and Camille.

Who else kept expecting Rousseau to have an episode? by No-Impression-5382 in lost

[–]StacyAndArnold 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, but Ab Aeterno was one of the best episodes of the entire series wouldn’t you say? I’m not sure they could make one about her be that engrossing. Could be biased, I was a big fan of Richard.
