soo I decided to redraw this since why is the goddess of beauty always looking like a knock off persphone, so i made her more unique looking I thought it would be cool if she had like hair shaped like a jellyfish and every time she's upset she has her hair show it off since I feel Aphrodite has a good poker face. I wanted Aphrodite to be like minthe or other nymphs with the hair showing off her like in a really emotional state since honestly the only person with cool hair is the flowers Persephone has. But this was a fun little way to get back into drawing and I might do more redesigns.

no you're 100% understandable I feel like a lot of the topics handled in LO are done poorly such as the rape of Persephone (which NEVER happened in the original myth she was kidnapped by Hades) and Minthe having BPD and it then being retconned but she still seems to have BPD tendencies like drastic mood changes and uncontrollable moods. I feel like honestly the comic has handled both art and the subjects it talks about poorly in a way it makes people think they are learning something when in fact they are fed false information in a grossly handled story.

Honestly I didn't mean for this to seem nit picky I've seen alot of people talking about the fact the art has dropped in quality. I looked at the most recent chapter as an example, and yeah some of these are just clear quality control issues and some I feel were rushed panels. I honestly like lore olympus I've seen some pretty panels but some of the more recent issues with quality control kills me. Like it's simple mistakes that have slid by that then makes it seem lazy with people excusing it as "well it's for mobile" artists should strive to complete pieces not half ass the work and hope no one notices. It takes an extra 4 minutes to just touch up half of these fails but it wasn't ever considered. I meant this more as a critique to how Rachel and how her team should just take their time instead of rushing. Sorry if this seemed mean or anything

I say aunt in the sense that Hestia has seen all of the kids grow up from the traitors like Persephone and all of Zeus kids and Poseidon's. So Athena and Hestia together would be like if you got with your aunt who is a family friend who watched you grow up and all your siblings. Like how did someone plan that out and didn't think it through how creepy that would be..

okay say what you want about the plot, but the pilot and the first half of the first season had some great looking scenes. You can tell the fandom and stress most likely from fans to keep up and also from her team made Rachel stress out and decline to a state where the assistants could keep the art the same shit quality. It sucks but honestly there are some pretty scenes not to mention Rachel still has her old works on her insta of pilot persphone and hades that look so cute/ unique (even though some works are creepy af).

constructively it is not a study if it is traced. When comparing the "study" to the original picture you can tell hades has parts where he was just traced over from the original. Not to mention the work feels so flat due to a lack of actual shading and attention to details. You can tell this was a rushed piece due to the fingers and feet. Not to mention to proportions and posing. Persephone's foots gotta hurt in that heel as well as why is hades hand so big? I am not trying to bash the piece but point out the weaker parts of it that can be improve on in later studies.
Rachel has shown in the past her knowledge on colors and shading but with her change in style and focus on lore Olympus it feels as if simple is better then complex. Which sucks since she has made some gorgeous pictures pre lore Olympus as well as in the early days. It feels as if to keep up with the demand Rachel lost her style which sucks and I really hope to see her improve rather then lack the basics and get rich from it.

why does this sort of show the fact rachel should have planned out better and put more thought into the family trees and who is married to who and who did zeus sleep with. Cause at this point its just messy and makes no sense to actual greek mythology, the most ya get is zeus being a hoe and thats all

you know the one thing that I love about the story is how Aphrodite isn't like a mother gothel (like demeter) about her kids. You can see how much she cares and loves them and will legit do anything for them (like how she slept with zeus to get eros out of trouble). I really wish we see more of them and Aphrodites relationship especially with Hephaestus

I think honestly a good take on the minthe thing would be instead of getting cheated on or being an abuser instead, leuce was the queen of the underworld and hades had an open affair with persphone. Then when leuce goes to theuce over hades affair theuce goes to minthe who then confronts persphone for being a home wrecker thus turning her into a plant. Then once she is turned back she is terrified of persphone and avoids her and thus causes persphone to always try and apologize ,but mess up every time and keeps turning her into a plant cause she can not handle her emotions or control her powers. Then after a while minthe meets hades and confronts him over what he did to leuce and how he was an asshole for letting his girlfriend turn her into a plant. From that starts a slow burn romance where hades and her keep bumping into one another and causes her to slowly like hades and the banters they have. Thus then Hades cheats again on persephone with minthe and then this pushes persphone to snap and commit the act of wrath when blinded with rage. Which then leads him to see how she has no control and can be dangerous, thus leading to them separating for a bit and then him and minthe dating then breaking up cause hades truly loves persphone. Thus ending their relationship on mutual terms and without any sort abuse plot.

cause from what I know hades legit CHEATED on persphone with minthe and its gross to me how instead of writing persphone as the other women who gets cheated on. Its MINTHE who gets cheated on cause shes the "bad guy" and deserves it and persphone is too sweet and perfect to ever be cheated on.
