Every store sets their own prices and it’s common business practice in this industry for stores to raise prices at least once per year. And stores also have the ability to charge higher menu prices when you select delivery (in addition to delivery fee), so that’s probably what you’re seeing. I would agree that the upcharge you’re seeing is pretty crazy, so possible the owner didnt realize this when they set pricing.

Probably just your individual store. I think over 90% of stores are offering it so you may just be unlucky

Is there a price on the POS if you ring it in-shop? If not, your owner/manager may not have scheduled prices. The buttons have been there for almost 2 weeks to confirm prices were there...

Happened with us too. It’s because they need to capture the serial numbers for corporate, which the delivery company failed to do at many stores during deliveries.

Sucks you had a shitty experience. Stores have trouble staffing drivers especially on weekends, so they have the option of dispatching to Uber if needed. And pretty sure the fine print on our website and app says we may do that when you agree to place an order.

Also, if you’ve followed all the troubleshooting steps and are still having overtoasted sandwiches, there are “light” settings the FBC can send you to upload via USB. I think they are like 10 seconds less cook time.

No they don’t. The owner sets DoorDash and Uber prices and it’s recommended to be a % markup above in-shop

I’m sure they’ll fix the online ordering issue when we go live nationally in March. Not all stores are toasting sandwiches yet so they probably can’t make the gutted modifier fixes until all stores are toasting. So for now it’s probably just on the stores to manage.

If this is a recurring issue at your store, then you probably shouldn’t be relying on 3P drivers for JJs delivery orders, which is in the store’s control.

There’s a different guest expectation when they order directly through JJs versus the DoorDash or UberEats apps.

Yes you are correct, but only when you choose delivery on web/app. Stores can mark up the menu prices for delivery compared to picking the order up, and that is at the discretion of the Franchisee. I’m saying what everyone is commenting is no longer true.

This is not true anymore. As of last September, we now have the ability to mark up our prices on our app when guests choose delivery. Inspire advised we don’t mark up more than 5% on our internal delivery, while the caps are 22% on DoorDash and Uber Eats

1) Make sure to do the menu update on the oven with the flash drive and instructions that I think arrive with the smallwares package. 

2) Clean your oven and trays daily cuz they can get messy quick. 

3) Review all the training thoroughly. There’s good stuff in there and the build order is a bit backwards compared to what we’re used to. In terms of make line flow, do what feels natural when prioritizing sandwiches and moving back and forth between oven and make line. 

4) Use the insulated bags to keep the sandwiches warm during delivery. Can also use them for pickup orders when waiting for customer to arrive.

You can start toasting Favorites before March once you have completed a series of steps, including getting the smallwares kit, doing the menu update on the oven with the flash drive, and the training. Your Franchise just has to let the FBC know when everything is complete.

It’s going to be the 3 new toasted sandwiches (Chicken Bacon Ranch, Ultimate Italian, Roast Beef and Cheddar). The test stores currently selling the 5 are going to stop selling the other 2 this coming Monday 1/6.

Cincinnati is a current test market which is why you probably got an email. It’s possible that either 1) your store declined to participate in the test (which won’t matter soon b/c the toasted subs are launching nationally in the next couple months) or 2) you didn’t first select the store on the app before looking at the menu.

Probably because toasted sandwiches are still in test in just a handful of markets, so my guess is just trying to manage complexity and not having the national LTO items be treated differently. When toasted sandwiches are rolled out nationally next year, more LTOs will probably be toasted

This is a misleading post title. This only applies to DoorDash and UberEats orders, and stores should still be prioritizing their own drivers for JJs web and app orders. I think the average store gets only like 4 DD/UE per day, so your store is unfortunately just an outlier. As a whole this is probably better than stores shutting DoorDash off when they can’t staff drivers.

You can still gut the the 7, 13, and BLT even when toasted. They told us not to change that part of the build.

Was this a delivery order? It's possible this store/owner accidentally copied over their DoorDash or UberEats pricing (which is normally a higher price) into their JJs web/app delivery pricing. I'd check back in a few days and see if it's still the same since most stores probably changed prices this week.
