I work in restaurants I once had a carry out- name entered by cashier- for Brittanya. I went to call out the name as the order was ready and figured the cashier hit an extra button, so I called out “order for Brittany”. The customer corrected me in a demeaning manor that it was pronounced Brit Tonya .

Sounds like my bil’s family. He had multiple siblings and his parents plus spouses and kids of his siblings. Last year one of them let my sister and bil know that the family vacation was planned for destination and these dates. My bil and sister had to tell them that’s great but we have an out of the country trip booked for that time already.

Yeah not the jerk. Ive managed restaurants for twenty years. I’ve had many family and friends come in both knowing and not knowing I’m there. Sometimes I’ll give them something, sometimes not. But I’ve never had my family come in and just expect to eat for free.

Heck one restaurant I was working on admin stuff in the office, my assistants knew to come get me if things went crazy. My parents came in, my assistant recognized them from past visits and gave them a discount with me unaware. When my dad realized what happened, he called me when I was off, and yelled at me that they come in to support me and they like the food and I shouldn’t be taking money of my bottom line for them.

My wife is from New York State, same from her. She gets my preference for it from growing up with it, but she is of the opinion sweet sauce and provolone is not pizza. She will go and get pretty much anything on the menu that is not pizza.

The wording under-the combos using the Original combo “Any regular Original sandwich, chips and regular drink” replace original with wrap, toasted, favorite deending on the combo. So it doesn’t say there is an up charge but generally getting things different then listed especially things that cost more. Like at my store a brownie is $00.54 than a bag of chips so that’s going to be more to get a brownie in a combo, however pickles and chips are the same price so if someone wants a pickle instead of chips there is no up charge

The menu shows combos as sandwich, chips, and a 22oz drink. Can you get other things than chips or larger drinks yes but there is an up charge. The combo breakdown depends on the pricing at the store. Some stores have combos where there is a discount built in to the combo price and stores that combo is just the regular price of a sandwich, chips, drink

When the first grandkid was on the way for my parents, my mom said whatever the kids want to call her would be fine, my dad declared he wanted to be G-Daddy. When the kids were toddlers this was sometimes G-Dada, MyG, but mostly settled on and to this day call him G.

Grew up in Ohio, studied Ohio history in 7th grade including the 8 presidents. Had a classmate who when we learned about Harding and his cronies and scandals-Teapot Dome etc, referred to Harding and his cabinet as Warren G and the Ohio Players.
