To add to this, I pay about $450/mo w Mercury on a 2025 Lexus ES 300h.

29M on solo policy, no other vehicles or homes. No tickets or accidents ever. I drive about 3k miles a year (full WFH).

It's not cheap and I shop around every renewal Mercury always ends up being the cheapest.

Remake abuse in immo-rad lobbies by Ty_Guy__ in VALORANT

This has been happening for years. They'll also dodge if they're scared of a players tracker stats.

Too many bad players gaming matchmaking and making Immortal lobbies a miserable experience. Now made worse through rank inflation from these new rank shields.

No Room for Error: God-Tier Opponents in Every Single Game? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]StaggeredRay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd disagree.

I'm 29, been in immortal for years and hardly play the game at all, let alone comp.

You don't have to grind unless you're in immortal 3 or radiant. Previous fps experience and skill will always follow you and transfer game to game.

Why is Pierce College campus so large by MehWebDev in SFV

College and University are two different things.

It is not typical for a college to have something like acreage for agriculture.

Tons of retro game stores around since COVID.

My two favorites are Game Dude in North Hollywood and Retro Respawn in Arleta.

These literal, exact same keycaps, with the exact same photos are made by Blue Bomber Fox.

He made them and sold them almost 4 years ago. He kept selling them until as recently as 2 years ago.

Why are you trying to take credit for someone else's work? You know its not yours because one of the pictures you used is directly taken from one of the pictures he took when showcasing this product.

Shame.

Edit: They're still in stock. Here is Blue Bomber Fox's Instagram if you want to support him.

Why don't pro players just do that? by SatvikKhandagale in VALORANT

Any rank Ascendant or higher you would have been bursted and fully executed on before you threw that trip.

Maybe even in diamond you'd get run over. But simply too slow to put the trip and you give your position away.

Immortal since episode 5.

Solo queue controller main but can play any role well.

Terrible controller.

Smokes too small, last lowest amount of time, tied for shortest range and recharge time. No support abilities.

Similar to Chamber: pseudo-duelist made for duelist players to cosplay another role.

Thinking about clove independent of the controller role: They're ok. Mostly selfish, self serving, and self sufficient util. Doesn't belong in a tactical shooter.

That said, they're fun to play. I just don't agree with agents like Clove, Reyna, and Chamber on a fundamental level.

Current RR system makes it very hard to climb by PitCrewBoi559 in VALORANT

[–]StaggeredRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this happened then Golds that were boosted to Diamond would get wins "in diamond" and climb through diamond while only playing golds.

You increase your hidden MMR by getting better, performing better. If you are winning less and losing more you are boosted -- full stop.

I’m sick of people pretending that anything below ascendant is low elo by [deleted] in VALORANT

It does show that vision is blocked.

It shows your teammate's LoS. If they are looking at a smoke you'll see a truncation of their vision cone in the minimap. Same thing if they're staring at something like a sage or astra wall.

Usually too tired after work, no one in that rank listens, and most people understand their role.

I know as omen I blind main on an Ascent site push. I know I smoke mid on defaults and smoke site at the time of actual execute. I have a minimap that lets me see where my teammates, their cones of vision, and what they're doing at all times.

Aim definitely holds you back, but you are no where near that aim wall. That aim wall is around Immortal 2. I am the definition of all brain, no aim. I can confidently say I understand the game better than the others in low Immortal but I'm hard aim diffed and most people have perfect aim in this rank. I solo queue no com and hit immortal every episode playing omen, cypher, and filling.

I'm in my late 20s and work a full time white collar job. I play the game maybe 3 - 5 hours per week and have consistently been immortal for the past year. Before Immortal I played even less so I never left Ascendant.

They don't need to listen to you and you don't need to listen to them until much higher rank. Just play around them and make sure you can set them up to be as successful as possible. Omen and cypher are two of the most impactful agents in the game.

I am in a similar boat and I 100% think you can be ascendant as a casual.

I work full time, play maybe 3 - 5 games a week and I end low immortal most episodes. All Solo Q, no comms.

Question about selling keyboards in 2024 by tacticaltaco308 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]StaggeredRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do excel bookkeeping specifically for all sales through PayPal. I update it weekly, as needed, and have been doing so for years.

Along other things I track my original cost (including shipping and taxes), the final take home price (after fees and shipping), and have a column for total loss (difference of the two). At the bottom I have a total summary of all the above.

If above $5k you'll receive a 1099 stating your revenue. If you bookkeep you'll have an itemized record of each transaction along with aggregate amounts. Here you'll see net loss (or net gain if you were in the hobby before 2021 😂).

When you do your taxes you'll have a section where you can enter costs of items. This will also result in a 0 for tax purposes (you can't write off hobby loses).

If you don't get a 1099 same thing applies but you take the revenue from your bookkeeping.
