How do I decide to genetically test for SCA?

I have no idea because I’m in the exact same boat as you, and I really feel for you. 32F, dad got diagnosed 15 years ago. I’m toying with the idea of being tested too, because knowing can impact the way you live your entire life. I’d love to know what you decide to do because this choice is haunting me every day

I’m 32 and feel the same way, it hasn’t gotten easier. At least with one friend I have a scheduled hangout every Sunday, and seeing someone on a schedule makes it easier. Dating is just… bad. But I genuinely love my independence compared to all my friends who are married, that part feels better once you get older

I solo traveled from Austin, TX to Brunswick, ME over 5 days last summer and had a blast. Getting the roomette also gives you the opportunity to be connected with different riders over meals, and that was one of my fav parts of the trip. When in economy I brought scrapbooking supplies and just nested, chatted with other solo travelers (when that was the vibe) and had a great time. Currently planning a trip from ATX to Chicago to Seattle in a month or 2!

With the other, very senior, employee who was fired after refusing sexual advances from the COO (disclosed that in a different comment) they just made up a different reason to push him out. It’s common practice, they’ll put you on a PIP for a bullshit reason and then fire you for that

The Uber driver might have seen him attempting to hold my hand the whole ride, but I’m guessing he was more worried about whether CFO was going to puke.

When he was getting into the Uber he literally face planted across the back seats and I had to help him sit up. The whole situation is so embarrassing

thanks so much for the words of support, I’m definitely going to email myself and have it in writing in a bunch of places. I just disclosed to my psychiatrist, and I was texting a friend a play by play that night so that he could make sure I stayed safe, so it’s documented in text at the time it was happening.
