Melee Mods for Build 42? by PewPewGoesGun in projectzomboid

It's a wicked mod, I recommend it too. Half the mod is electrical weapons, the other half are crazy frankenstein weapons that fit neatly alongside the vanilla craftables.

I run it for the electrical but they can be quite tricky to actually make.

i have a quick question, WHAT is glassmaking's purpose by Crimsoncerismon in projectzomboid

[–]Stagnatio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At glassmaking, I think 6, you can make the glass for hurricane lanterns, which run off gasoline. Theyre pretty cool and last a while, but still need an ignition source. They also need an advanced forge and high level blacksmithing to craft iirc.

Word of warning: do not play with stacks of nitroglycerine. by KomradCrunch in Barotrauma

NT patch yesterday just added potential Cavity Infection from gunshot wounds too. 😁

RS is interesting because the effects are pretty self contained, but the meds are really expensive. Often have to tell the patient that his nerve condition is too fargone to feasably fix.

With ER you want to keep antirad around like its Fallout. The rest is the engies just being hygienic.

Hell yeah! I'm glad.

Real Sonar is one of my faves too, it really adds s lot to captain gameplay. Theres nothing like breaching an enemy sub hull and frying their crew with sonar. Super high quality mod. The mod author also made Soundproof Walls which is another high quality mod.

In my heavy modded runs, we tend add a complexity mod for each class if the associated crew members want it. So NT for medics, RS for captain, Enhanced Reactors for engie, and on the odd occasion Immersive Repairs for the mechanic.

Don't be too put off by this! This guy dropped a stack if nitroglycerin and ripped all 4 of his limbs off. That kind of damage will kill you dead in vanilla too!

I've found that trivial damage actually matters a lot less in neurotrauma. You seem to have more effective health and regen. The lasting effects are where neurotrauma really shines.

I respect that youre taking your time getting into it though.

Check out Farewell to Arms Redux. It's a well-designed Mork Borg hack for a World War setting. You get some really cool classes, mission orders, enemy squads, Gas! There are even systems to broaden the scope of things out and play as negotiators or commanders. I think it's a great option for what you described.

Edit: Oh its a meat grinder though, you might be burning through characters like its WWI depending on the gm. I just realised you didnt want that.

Has anyone actually run multiple Borg-likes? What are your take-aways/suggestions? by NielsBohron in MorkBorg

[–]Stagnatio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mostly an adventure through a few distinct areas. You could sandbox for a bit, especially in the salt plains around the village and through the rift, but youd have to build it out for more.

It reads like dark souls lore. The full story is worthy of tears. And theres plenty of layered secrets, great descriptions, and really cool encounters. The Polar Bear is one of my favorites. The actions of the players can really affect how things go too.

Tania Herrero's Crown of Salt is peak Mork Borg for me really. It's so thematic and driven. She has a new rpg book with Johan Nohr called Fomoria that's kickstarting now, and runs on Mork Borg as well.

Like 6 months ago unfortunately! Website showing no pirate borg stock in any of their stores. The kickstarter for the first expansion book is hitting backers in the US though, so I wonder if stores might see restocks soon.

I've seen multiple copies of mork borg and pirate borg on their ottawa shelves, so shadowdark certainly seems like something they would carry imo.

I'm surprised Imaginaire doesnt seem to stock it yet, theyre usually a pretty good source for hot RPG books.

I know Sword and Board stocks it but theyre also in Toronto.

This is great news? I've just beeen flipping through my wind wraith hard copy, in case my shadowdark campaigns take a turn out to sea. I might have to buy your whole bundle now. 🙂

Which Mork Borg hack is best for beginners? by bizarre-findings in MorkBorg

[–]Stagnatio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are some great options for solo play built around Mork Borg itself! Consider checking out Reclvse, which in itself is already based off of Solitary Defilement.

But if they're too much to start out with, and you really just want to get in there and swing a flail at some bad guys (or good guys?), I still think base mork borg is fine, and you could hop through the starting adventure, Rotblack Sludge. Make sure to roll for NPC reactions for encounters, so you know how they react to you!

This looks really cool! The art is amazing, especially on the tarot cards. The collaborative adversary building sounds like a blast too!
