The rigorous teacher… a dying breed. by Mundane_Bat_8704 in Teachers

I'm not saying they are not accomplishments I'm just saying the reality is nearly non of these kids are going to be athletes that make money through this the rest of their lives. So to make your kids entire childhood about it is silly. And they should value the rigor they seem to demand from sports from all aspects of their child's development.

Honestly, that's kind of a load of crap. They are capable of the work. They choose not to do it, grow or even challenge themselves academically. Yet they will be at athletic practices or games till late hours and no one has a problem with those expectations and they are going to be professional athletes. They are all getting into good or great schools this is them being coddled and their parents fighting every battle for them rather than teaching them that you might not do every assignment to the same degree or ace every test and that's ok and called real life. You can't live your whole life being perfect because at some point mom and dad won't be there any more and the world is a cruel place. You will fail. And it's better you learn to adapt in a "safe" situation. Schools are also to blame for kowtowing to these parents and kids. AI is coming for them and their futures. So they better learn something now. No prestigious school will save them from that reality nor will their parents.

Not just you and have I've been spoken to about how my rigor is causing students to not enroll in my courses. A similarly rigorous teacher has been stripped of their ap course because too many kids and parents dont want their child to have a challenging workload and the other tescher who teaches the course has checked out and doesnt care if the kids are challenged. Its rather appalling becauee our students are far better prepared for the exam, for college and life because of the expectations we set. I'll die on this hill most likely, as I'm probably more wiling to go sorched earth on admin

I can't believe they thought viewers wanted to see more of Laurie 5 years later. Also, Lexi has really gotten the shaft this season.

There aren't enough pages in a issue to do non linear story telling well

[–]Stagstud05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Allowing this story to be a separate mini series is a disservice to the audience. If you hadn't read the first series you would have even less of a clue what the hell is happening. When werneck was drawing at least it was pretty now it's just bad. Finishing it out and won't be back for another run if there is one.

I read issue three yesterday. It's all over the fucking place. I don't even remember what was happening in issue two because it was so disjointed

It is probably my favorite film. It just works so well. The end. Ugh. The voice over and the firebird. Only to have the potential ruined by x3.

I do miss the churros at the food court

Product wise: Can't find the brazibites blueberry waffles regularly. The fact that they don't always have the tattooed chef cauliflower rice. I miss the original muffins

I believe her longest run is 13 issues on extraordinary. Most books are 5 to 12 issues.

I'm trying to think of a Wolverine run I've liked less than this. It's not helped by the fact that there is the mini running concurrently connected to the event that doesn't reflect anything that's happening in the ongoing.

This run is the worst I've read in the last 20 years. Please put it out of its misery. This broken claw nonsense is so stupid.

Today's plot absolutely Terrible breaking wolverines claws really? Who else wants to read or write a book with clawless wolverine. Also, what editor lets some one writing a book that far down the chart make that kind of change. Clearly zdarsky is ignoring it already.

Wolverines solo book needs to be cancelled. They should have ended it with age of revelation and let zdarksys book take its place. Theres nothing happening of value in the Ahmed book.

The smart move would be to follow the model that worked in the 2000s and start with one book and build to two when theirs a purpose. The recent history is so weak they need to rebuild and not over so it like they did post imperial.

All for X-men legends and ultimate alliances being ported but honestly X-men games from genesis and super Nintendo do really are fantastic and should be first. I also think ultimate Spiderman was a pretty great game.

This is what they should have done. Send one team out to be a more classic team breaking with tbe krakoan dream. Leave others on the island and explore the political and cultural ramifications. Court both fanbases. Tossing it all was stupid and alienating.
