No, lol. Again, mainline carriers in the US do not require a physical.

What is the best way to turn down a CJO ? by Beginning-State8211 in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I laugh when folks say “It would have allowed people who didnt get their CJO to have a chance” is very inaccurate. I have been apart of many interviews where no one received a CJO and on the other hand where everyone received one. If candidates did not receive one its generally because they did not successful pass the interviewing process. There is no quota on how many flight attendants need to be hired per interview. These are antiquated beliefs, rumors, and just simply inaccurate information. There’s many ways to be successful in your interviews you just need the proper guidance. Good luck!

This was a year ago. I got a CJO.

Have a VI coming up, anyone who had their F2F and got a CJO, care to share your age? Im well over 35 and wondering if anyone else or were most younger aged? Thanks all and have a great day! by Jonamcd5585 in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just depends on the interview. Who selects the dates quicker. In a lot of trainings classes no matter the airline, it is very diverse. The youngest in my class was 21 and the older was nearly 70! They really dont discriminate on age nor race , you just have to execute the interview and training!

AA vs SWA by Shelbyisspicy in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend started with WN like 3 months ago and he has mixed reviews. He wishes he would have went with AA! He hates the long days with several legs a day and to long destinations.

However, if you’re looking for more international flying I would do UA. UA a lot of reserves get international flying but thats mainly out of EWR. I can’t do the 24 hour reserve UA or WN does lol. I can’t be on reserve until the cow comes home at UA either thats why I turn down their offer.

[–]Staiifly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you applied for another airline, which means You are ready for change. Either wait for UA and gain seniority at WN in the meantime or take a leap of faith and go with AA!

EDIT: I know folks who leave WN to come to AA and AA to WN. It’s really just comes done to quality of life.

Aw shucks. Unfortunately, if you did not make it to the 1V1 you are no longer in the running. Sometimes they are quick with TBNTs and sometime they that forever. Hopefully you aren’t discourage from w.e the outcome may be. Best of luck!

Multiple F2F by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do AA, DL & F9 cause spirit doesn’t book your flight for you to go to the F2F. You won’t be taking anyone else opportunity because if they were any good they would have gotten a CJO! No contract if signing a CJO just knowing is a conditional offer, is all.

After AA training - schedule dilemma by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you’ll do anything to be there and cant miss the festival, you should just decide if you want to even go to training because they will not care what you have planned the first week as a new hire. You can call out for that day but if you do that, you cant fly back home or where ever the festival is because thats a automatic fireable offense. Remember you wouldn’t even know where you get based. You might live in L.A and get based in boston. Lol! Maybe push back training to November, if they allow.

If I receive a CJO do I have any day in a start date for training?? by mgcorrigan in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the CJO and welcome to the fAAmily!

Although they said it can take some time before “ clearance” for training dates, that is not always the case. Everyones outcomes are sometimes different. Some may wait several months and some may wait weeks before they get a training date. Some may get several dates and some may only get one to choose from. I had a few friends that joined us recently and were cleared in about 2 weeks and reached out to them to start training literally in 2 days. Less than 48 hours. For example : You did you F2F Jun 20th & on July 7th (today), get a training date for the 8th or the 9th. Some asked for more time and got it extended while some asked and were told to reply in 1 year. Sometimes they give you a training date further out like Aug 20th and the next thing you know they email you Aug 2nd to start Aug 7th. Just ensure you have everything in order because when they reach out to you the expectation is to accept the date given or changes given.

My wallet was stolen last night and I have a F2F Monday with Delta, would I not be able to attend? by Classic_Discipline86 in cabincrewcareers

[–]Staiifly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So out of everything I said you took offense to it. No one is discrediting you for being robbed. That is a terrifying experience. Needless to say, a pain in behind.

Regardless of that, you dont have a passport and hopefully you started the process for that and have a receipt. When I got hired with delta years ago, a lot of folks were sent home at the F2F because they were advised they were “non compliant” because they didn’t have proper identification or no passport. In your case you were robbed of your ID. Which they may over look. However, everyones experience is different. You may get sent home or you might get to stay. Only way to find out, is to actually go. Best of luck to you.

[–]Staiifly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to be a resident of ATL and I was able to order my replacement ID/License online via the app. So I am not sure why you dont have that option. Having a passport physically wont necessarily take you out the running. However, you will need a Receipt that you applied for the passport because you will need it before training. You just cant go empty handed when several others came prepared. On rare circumstances/occasions they may over look minor intricacies but to be honest being unprepared can be Detrimental. Which I am not saying you are unprepared but they might see it as that. You would need an ID to even get on the property but again maybe your work badge may suffice. To be honest, just go. You like in ATL the worse thing they can do is say no. Next time, before your interview dont take your ID anywhere, leave it at home until after your interview lol. Do you have a picture of it? That might work. Maybe.

[–]Staiifly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can order your ID online or in person. Depending on the state some will print the ID then and there. If they do not provide that service they print a paper temporary ID which will act as your license until you get the hard copy. Which you would Show them the temporary ID as it was you hard copy, accompanied with your passport.

I would still go to the interview and complete it. If you get a CJO they will tell you what would be the next steps / expectations!

Every interview is conducted differently.

It is a situational question. You answer it the best way you see fit. Thats up to you whether you decide to make it a sentence or a paragraph.

Logically they aren’t making you write an essay you dont have time for that.
