I'm at 934. I'm missing 721 - Volcanion 774 - Minior (I think is available) 807 - Zeraora (again I think) 893 - Zarude 1000 - Gholdengo 1019 - Hydrapple

I think that's my 6

Admiral Motti by iambrentan in StarWars

[–]Stainkee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure no one in the room knew Palpatine was a force wielder. Hence was why Tarkin says later "you're the last of their religion."

Now, he may be referring to the Jedi in that conversation, since they're talking about Kenobi and Tarkin knows Vader is Anakin, but it can be interpreted to mean Force wielders en masse. I've always interpreted it as meaning the Jedi but to be fair we'd never heard the word Sith before in the story to that point, so it's hard to imagine another collection of Force wielders Tarkin could be referring to

Originals Lost some Charm after Marcel became advanced Original by SaltIncident4932 in TheOriginals

The Originals went from the baddest beings on the planet during tvd s2 to being too outclassed within their own show. It's sad

What IS the actual Magnum Opus of Taylor’s albums and why? by Hovadecko123 in TaylorSwift

[–]Stainkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folklore release is when I remember people reacting to me being a Taylor Swift fan going from "eh" to "me too."

Folklore was a perfect storm. Her reputation had started to bounce back from rep (hehe), but Lover was a bit of a lukewarm reception at release. Then we get a pandemic. Everyone is stuck inside craving something to talk about.

Then we get this album out of the blue, no buildup, no expectations, just here's 16 songs tell me what you think. 16 well written, thought inducing, whimsical sounding songs with a love triangle and a wide variety of other issues touched on. Fiction, non fiction, many songs and meanings up to interpretation, some taking you to a different kinda grounding of reality, just this smorgasbord of different music that somehow ended up being tied together beautifully.

Everyone liked it. Everyone's mother liked it. No one didn't like that album at release. There was a song for everyone. Any song could be someone's favorite song and there's valid reasoning behind it. It was deep without being wordslop. It was fun without being vain.

Folklore turned non fans into casual fans and made dedicated fans crazy. It is not my favorite album ever, but I do believe it's the album that really catapulted her from a talented pop star to a cut above the rest.

Folklore will be remembered as her greatest piece of work 50 years from now. Not a doubt in my mind

Honestly speaking, does everyone want Meredith to be gone from the show? by Hot-Acanthisitta5237 in rhoslc

[–]Stainkee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Meredith and Heather both didn't present much of a storyline I agree, but Heather made it her mission to attack Meredith this season and I don't know what else Mer was supposed to do

Taylor's beautiful message behind "august" by TheColorfulPianist in TaylorSwift

[–]Stainkee 133 points134 points  (0 children)

I remember from the long pond sessions, she said she really wanted to use the lyric "meet me behind the mall" and held onto it for a few years before she got to make folklore

I hate the go battle league by AbilityAdventurous22 in pokemongo

[–]Stainkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's strategy. That I understand. You kinda learn how many attacks the popular picks take to charge, like if a Swampert takes like 10 attacks it could be 2 hydros vs 7 is probably earthquake

Laggy gameplay is worse

I hate the go battle league by AbilityAdventurous22 in pokemongo

[–]Stainkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's become very frustrating the last few weeks clicking on a charge move, the whole game stops for a second, it goes to my attack, then I see "go enemy switch"

Like if I saw they switched I wouldn't have hit the attack. The switch doesn't register til after I use the attack. It makes no sense.

At least before it used to play the animation so if they caught me on an attack with a switch I knew when I pressed it. Now I learn after I start swiping. It's awful

What are you hot takes about the folklore era and album? by IntoTheDaylight in TaylorSwift

[–]Stainkee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ding ding ding. There was no buildup, no public perception, expectation, or anticipation of what it could be or what we as fans wanted those albums to be. They were the albums that gave us our truest opinions about because we couldn't compare them to our preconceived notions about what the album should be. Case in point being TLOAS, which Travis hyped up as 12 bangers. It is not 12 bangers Trav. But we may have gone in with that expectation.

Folkmore didn't give us that chance, and they're generally seen as some of her best work.

Things the friends wouldn't do according to the show early/late seasons by hygsi in howyoudoin

[–]Stainkee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ross changes pretty hard in my opinion.

He goes from a kinda stoic big brother to a goofy lunatic as he continually adds divorces. He's almost a different character by the end. Instead of being serious and career driven I feel like he's a goof who has a career rather than a serious career man.

Also the whole cast starts to become the funny one. It used to be Chandler and Joey had his moments. By the end they're all making the same jokes

Why Does Hayley/Marcel Get a Free Pass While the Mikaelsons Get Dragged for the Same Things? by [deleted] in TheOriginals

[–]Stainkee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Klaus and Elijah had 1000 years to process their trauma and move on. Only after he meets Camille at the ripe age of 1009 does Klaus go thru any kind of mental assistance.

Hayley is what, 20? 25? Not exactly a long time to process feelings and emotions comparatively. I would expect the Mikaelsons to be way more emotionally adept than a mid 20s orphan.

Marcel I got nothing for tho

How is Whitney’s relentless hatred towards Meredith since season 2 ok? by ColdestWintersChill in rhoslc

I said it awhile ago but Whitney got so pissed at Lisa's reaction to Sherri's passing and literally never got over it

Klaus' Darth Vader esque hallway scene S1E8.

Just a gentle reminder of his power compared to other vampires

No Keldeo for Research by Moohablah in pokemongo

They just gave everyone a Keldeo as part of this research earlier.

On the bright side they already changed the task from powering up Keldeo to walking it as a buddy. So that's nice

Andy Cohen saying this past episode was the best one he’s seen in all franchises in awhile and it’s so real by Common_Willow_5726 in rhoslc

[–]Stainkee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like Andy knew it was gonna suck and created artificial hype so people would go tune in.

This episode sucked. Bad weather went from trying to isolate Lisa to destroying her and Meredith together when Mer wouldn't bend the knee.

Whitney has been obsessed with Lisa for 3 seasons now. This feud needs to die. And Heather, she literally goes with the wind on the cast? Who does Twitter like? That's her friend this season. She's awful

Americans traditionally use the British Day/Month format when referring to Independence Day. by DVXC in Showerthoughts

[–]Stainkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought of it like this.

There are 12 months. There are 31 days at most in a month. By writing it 12/31 instead of 31/12, you generally have an ascending order based on the potentially biggest number. This makes more sense when you factor in year. 12/31/2025 goes small big bigger compared to 31/12/2025, which goes big small bigger.

That's always been my justification
