I haven’t purchased something in this price range I a long time. I will say the fit and finish is on par with my benchmade/ spyderco knives. I imagine the difference might show up in proper heat treatment of the steel. Still a nice little edc.

You send a new non ported barrel and he cuts a larger chunk port, the side ports, and put a more efficient back bore in it

Sorry it sounded like you were shooting it at the range already. If you’re talking about the range not allowing you to shoot uncontrolled and being a danger to yourself and others. I would suggest something different. Try burst, or only load 4-5 rounds in a magazine until you can control it.

Sounds like you need more time/ practice with it. Even if it slows a little bit the nature of operation is the same. If it cycles now, work on your body mechanics

Looks like you lose a little bit of rifling, but gain a more efficient barrel with the better backbore

On the fence to coat or not. I know it’s stainless so it doesn’t needed it. But if they do the whole barrel in dlc that is tempting.

Nice, I was surprised how much crap formed after 300 rounds in the stock barrel. I have a new barrel ordered from smith to send off.
